Stretching Your Products//
Aside of Young Living products being non-toxic and highly effective, they are also super concentrated, meaning that you can dilute your products and make them last 3 times as long- which saves you a TON of money. (As an example, I have been using the Kidscents shampoo on my girls mostly every day since last September- and I JUST ran out).
Here’s how you do it:
* note that there are many ways to do this- which is what makes it so fun. This is just what works for me and what I like.
// Thieves household cleaner: add one capful of cleaner to a 16 oz spray bottle and top with water. That’s it. Cleans your entire home, top to bottom.
// Any shampoo/conditioner: I typically split these into thirds. Pour 2/3 of the bottle into a glass jar. With the remaining 1/3, just top with water. You can add your own oils to them to alter the scent. I personally like to add a tbsp of baking soda to the shampoo as it helps to get all the buildup out of my hair and adds bubbles!
// Thieves dish soap: same as shampoo, I add lemon EO to help cut grease.
// Thieves laundry detergent: I also split into thirds. I top with water and then add a capful of thieves cleaner and a few drops of lemon essential oil.
// Shower gel: I buy the base so I will split into thirds, add 1/4 c. Castile soap and my favorite essential oils and top with water.
// Essential Oils: you can also dilute your essential oils so they last longer (and no, it won’t alter their effects!) by adding 10 drops in a 10ml roller and topping with a carrier oil. I use fractionated coconut oil but you can use any other carrier oil.
I’m sure I missed some products so please feel free to comment with what products you dilute!
