I was so happy to see this girl again!! All the new behaviors she learned and she is working on just amazing!!
Arizona has some back history and it will make you understand why it is a big deal that she knows so much now.
When I first met her she was a puppy, maybe 4-5 months old. As we said it with owner: she was everywhere, but she was nowhere.
She had the puppy energy but teaching her was impossible. On our 3rd session I told Arizona's mom, that I really think there is something missing here, in Arizona's mind. She went to the vet, who dismissed her. I wanted to get a second opinion so we went to my amazing vet, to Dr. Perry. She was also hesitant to medicate a seemingly healthy puppy, but after some consideration she did so. And thanks God she did! After about 4 weeks you could tell that Arizona is with us! Her temperament did not change at all, but she could actually pay attention for a little bit longer and she could learn!! It's been at least 6 months now, that she is on her meds. She knows how to Sit, lay Down, Wait, Come back, Back up, working on Leash Walking Skills and some of her obsessive behaviors calmed down. She is not having huge barking fits, no more running in circles by the door, and when she is walking around panting, she can be calmed down faster and easier.
Thank you Sharron, you, fantastic dog mom, to not giving up on Arizona and trusting in me!! #dogtraining #dogtrainer #dogs #puppy #pawsitive #rewardbasedtraining #evidencebasedtraining #sciencebasedtraining #positivereinforcementtraining #dogtrainers #forcefreetraining #waynesvillemo #missouri #militarywife #ilovedogs #petstagram #dogstagram #animals #instagood #trainer #ilovemyjob #dreamjob #basicmanners #nochoke #noprong #noshock #nointimidation #balanceharness #shelterdogsrock
