We have all induldged in alcohol at some point in our lives. Some, who end up naked and screaming around like a chicken have gone too far! . First off, I want to say I do not condone the use of alcohol (I am in recovery) but, I have many clients who just dont want to put down their wine, or beer and for some of my ladies, their mojitos. . Truth is, you dont need to. . Lets look at the negative side affect first before we get into the benefits. 1. Alcohol hinders protein synthesis, which is your bodies ability to break down and absorb protein to repair muscle tissue or to use as energy. This can hinder your muscle gainz if you consume alcohol with in 24-40 hours of your last weight training. you will slow down your ability to recover, and you will not gain the full benefit of your weight training 2. .Alcohol is a toxin lets get that straight! so this will affect your liver and kidneys. This will also dehydrate your muscle which can slow down fat burning 3. This will mess with your digestive track, some throw up the toxin after drinking themselves to oblivion, and others will have the run's. This will make it hard for you to keep up with your diet the next day. 4. Do you really want to work out after an all nighter with the boys or your girls? more than likely you will skip a day at the gym to get your hangover under control! 6. soooo, there are plenty of negative side affect, but are there any GOOD ones?? WELL. no not at all throw that SH$% away! . LOL, just kidding there is one main one that can be very beneficial! . When our brains receive alcohol which is a stimulant, and when our bodies are mildly stimulated this will lead to our bodies going through hormesis. which, is pretty much saying it will destress itself with another stress. lol weird right? . When our bodies get stressed our bodies produces more cortisol which is the stress hormone which leads to fat gain, lack in production of testosterone, and even kill our sleep patterns. . Thats why it is important to always look for an outlet. Something that can destress you. This is a small amount though .01. So a couple of sips of wine will activate this! Don’t go crazy!
