Meal prep I think most can agree is a life saver. Of course only if you can meal prep food you'll actually eat... 🤦‍♀️ For me it's hit and miss and of course, I do understand part of the meal prepping is learning to prepare your own healthy food. However, in this season of life for Oscar and myself, we made the decision that meal prep was a must - prepping it ourself was not. Time is a valued and limited commodity we are using wisely right now. ⏳ I had used @cleaneatz_fayetteville before and yet again they follow through with amazing, healthy, time saving options to keep us closer to ALL of our goals. JUNK FOOD . A calorie is a calorie. Its a unit of energy. YES, some calories are more nutritious than others, YES some calories are digested differently and have different hormonal responses BUT the BIGGEST factor for weight loss is ENERGY IN vs ENERGY OUT. . Lets be honest. Its part of life that we all enjoy. Just like many other of life’s not so healthy treats such as alcohol etc. . Before the nutrition police start making arrests, im not advising replacing quality nutritious meals with junk food. Same as Im not recommending replacing water with vodka! . TAG FRIEND WHO WOULD LOVE THIS! 😍😍😍 Credit @ gimmedelicious 😍Tender Chicken breasts stuffed with broccoli, parmesan, cheddar, and cream cheese 🧀This quick flavor-packed meal is bursting with flavor and texture and makes a delicious low-carb dinner.🥦 - For the chicken 4 chicken breasts 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional 1 teaspoon paprika optional 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon olive oil For the filling 2 cups broccoli florets 1/4 cup bell pepper minced 1/2 cup cheddar cheese or melting cheese of choice 4 ounces cream cheese softened ¼ cup grated Parmesan 2 cloves garlic minced salt and pepper - To steam broccoli: Chop the broccoli florets into small pieces. Put all the broccoli in a microwave-safe bowl and about 2 tablespoons water. add water. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. Alternatively, steam on stove-top or blanch in boiling water for 1 minutes. Use a sharp knife to slice each chicken breasts horizontally to form a pocket. Be sure not stop cutting about 1/2 inch from the ends and sides. Season chicken breasts with a generous sprinkle of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a large bowl, combine the steam and chopped broccoli, bell pepper, garlic, cheeses and salt & Pepper; set aside. Spoon the mixture into each chicken breast evenly. Secure with toothpicks if needed. Preheat oven to 400F. Heat 1 tablespoons oil in a large cast iron or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden. Easy peasy Fried Rice! So this is a hit with my 4yr old 🙌 She is obsessed with fried rice at the moment 🤷‍♀️ This is so easy as quick and bulk which is what I love! Again I picked up all my ingredients from @aldiaustralia So to start I put 1.5cup of rice with 3 cups of water in my rice cooker and let that do its thing. Then I get started on the rest:- Ingredients: - cooked rice (however much you wish) - Bacon pieces and shredded chicken if you like - Onion, diced and crushed garlic - Eggs - Frozen peas and corn mix and whatever other veggies you wish to add - 1-2 tablespoons of Soy sauce Method: - I start off my frying my onion and garlic till soft - Add the bacon and fry to your liking - While all this is frying I have my eggs going. I mix up my eggs in a bowl and pour into a small fry pan and fry and scramble. - Once done I put it into my bacon, onion and garlic mixture - Pour frozen veg into fry pan and fry until defrosted - Once all ingredients are cooked add rice and fry off - Add soy sauce to liking and mix through. Happy Tuesday, Don't crumble under the weekly pressures and stresses of life. There are many ways I manage my stress throughout the week but one of my go to management tools is lying on my acupressure mat DAILY! I've posted about this several times but I cannot say it enough. Soja blé complet, pâtes quinoa persil ail, poireaux 😍 je tends de plus en plus vers la protéine végétale dans mon alimentation, sans m’en rendre compte, mais j’aime vraiment découvrir ces sources de protéine et varier. 🤩 - On passe plus de temps à manger qu’à faire du sport les amis, il est donc logique de faire plus attention et d’accorder plus d’importance à votre alimentation et vos apports qu’à l’activité physique. Si vous n’avez « pas le temps » de faire du sport, si vous n’avez rien trouvé que vous aimez, cela ne vous empêche pas de prendre soin de vous, de votre santé, de votre forme, faites attention à la composition de vos assiettes ça vous aidera dans vos objectifs. 😁 - Idem qu’avoir un style de vie sain et actif ne veut pas dire se priver, ne pas manger, se frustrer, supprimer des aliments, c’est simplement trouver ton équilibre dans tes apports, apprendre à être raisonnable et favoriser des aliments par rapport à d’autres. Je peux t’aider à trouver ton équilibre et rajuster tes apports pour atteindre des objectifs comme je l’ai fait y a 2 ans pour moi, alors n’hésite pas à m’écrire, c’est simplement une philosophie de vie qui dépend de ce que tu veux pour toi.

Voilà 2 semaines que je me suis mise aux meal prep! Ça consiste à préparer tous les repas de la semaine d’un coup pour ne plus avoir à cuisiner le reste du temps. Ça évite de manger sur le pouce des repas pas très équilibrés 😊. J’ai fait: 👉🏼des cannellonis au tofu fumé, champignons et carottes 👉🏼 du risotto aux champignons 👉🏼 une salade de pâtes, radis, tomates cerises, cornichons et haricots rouges 👉🏼 du riz avec des brocolis Je vais peut être ajouter des légumes ou protéines en plus selon mes envies au fur et à mesure 😊 . Tuesday Lunch - Another one I meal prepped at the weekend. My boyfriend had this for his breakfast yesterday and said it was delicious. 🤔😂. Lean beef mince meat balls with roasted peppers, mushrooms and onions with halloumi and a homemade yogurt dip. For the meat balls I just portioned the mince into 25g balls and then seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, cumin and mixed herbs then added to the pan to cook. Then just add the chopped up veg and meal prep done. For the dip I mixed 50g of @alpro 0% yogurt (I would recommend an unsweetened yogurt) and mixed in just 2ml of garlic oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika and chives. • Cals 331 F17.1g/C5.8g/P35.9g

I have a secret...it's kind of embarrassing. Actually really embarrassing.⠀ ⠀ I don't meal prep. I don't cook in batches. I don't pack a lunch. I don't plan ahead. I don't even like left overs. true story.⠀ ⠀ I feel like a fake fitnessy person sometimes because I have never gotten my meal prep game together. It wasn't even until last year that I started drinking my own smoothies (which I promptly gave up once I got pregnant). People ask me for nutrition advice all the time and it's hard to recommend these things when I don't do them myself. RIght?!?⠀ ⠀ Does it make me a bad trainer? I don't think so. I'm not a nutrition expert. Does this make me human? Sure does. I have so many other things together that the 'plan ahead' part of me isn't so together all the time. ⠀ ⠀ Yet still I follow so many fitness influencers on instagram that seem to have it all together ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Beautiful pictures, meaningful blog posts, amazing recipes, great events and and even beautiful vacation photos. It's hard not to judge myself. ⠀ ⠀ I know my strengths and I know my weaknesses. And every time I share what I struggle with....it helps me make my peace with it. So do I buy my lunch at subway more often than most?...yes I do. (I'm way into the wraps...) But I think I'm going to be ok. At least I hope so. ⠀ ⠀ Maybe at some point this will change and I'll become the MEAL PREP QUEEN OF TORONTO...but until then I'll have to settle just little old me.
