Now, to the story behind this image - it's a nasty one.
The thought of capturing this image got stuck in my mind after the first time walking through this place. So, after a long day of work I decided to muster all the remainder energy and walk to this location. As I walked to this spot, I noticed a structure that was perfectly positioned. This structure - which have some sort of archs that had a slight resemblance with a concert hall - is elevated by a few steps and has the perfect angle. I got euphoric and started walking a little faster, I couldn't wait to capture the image.
I arrive to the spot, assemble my tripod, composed the image, and pressed the shutter. It was happening, I was taking the photograph. Now, as I wait for the image the adrenalin starts to come down. I still focused, but now I start noticing the smell of feces every time a whiff of air hits. I checked my shoes and didn't find any fecal material, I was the only person there, and pretty sure I didn't sharted my pants. So, I ignore the fact and keep on my task.
After the first image, I decided to go big or go home. I got my ND filter and decided to do a 10 minutes exposure. I set up my camera and pressed the shutter release. Now we wait.
With nothing to focused and the pungent smell of shit, my curiosity made me to walk around my vicinity to investigate the source of that putrid smells. I quickly noticed that those archs were used as the public washroom for the homeless people. I'm glad the image worked, because that afternoon was literally a shit show.
