12 weeks ago I started the #nobsguide. Today, 44 workouts later, I completed it! I have gotten stronger, but most importantly so much more confident in the gym and have loved (almost) every minute of it. 💀 DEADS 3sets 250kg x 2 💀 . Pressed for time today and didn’t read program properly, just saw the numbers and went for it... but they were meant to be block pulls 🤦🏽‍♀️ . Then finished with SSB squats again only had 20min so got my warmups and working sets done in that time. Was meant to be 5 singles at 180, I did 2 singles and 3rd set 3reps 💁🏽 . Vid1: 3sets 250kg x 2 (last set) Vid2: 182kg x 3 (last set) . .

🥞Pancake topped oats by our lovely @francesca_bolt , some recipes never get old! 💪 ........................... Pancake topped oats 😋 Here’s the recipe: Cook 40-60g of rolled oats in almond milk (just enough to cover the oats plus about 1cm) in the microwave for 2 mins. ✅ CROSSFIT OPEN 2019 ✅ - 🎥 final reps of this year’s first Open [yes I didn’t finish...] - Now that The Open is over I can go ahead and share with you my thoughts from the past 5 weeks of competition 🏋️‍♂️ - First things first; I’m super excited and happy to complete every workout with one attempt and be totally satisfied with my effort and performance in each workout 💪 - Leading up to The Open has not been easy in terms of consistent training. Injury has led to a severe lack of lifting and gymnastics with a heavily reduced conditioning regime too. So to perform at a level which isn’t completely disproportionate to where I have previously been with my fitness is a great bonus and is a huge motivator to spend the time now to fix my injuries and push towards the best and strongest version of myself possible 👊 - Being surrounded by a supportive, driven, hardworking, competitive and fun community has also been such a bonus and has consistently pushed me to perform at my highest standard- so I appreciate all the support, all the advice and all the encouragement through some pretty rough and dark points during this Open. - Finally, this Year has just shown me how important perspective is. Your fitness is relative. This has often been a concept I’ve struggled to accept. My fitness, currently, shouldn’t be compared. It’s not comparable. I’m taking my training one day at a time, training off feel and that day’s particular pain threshold. Sometimes I’ll wake up and struggle to bend down to put my socks on. Other days I’ll feel pretty good and manage a good session. This level of fitness doesn’t define me as a CrossFit athlete. What defines me is the fact that living with a serious back injury for a very long time now still hasn’t discouraged me from chasing my ultimate fitness and from chasing my goals in CrossFit! - I will continue to chase, however slowly that chase may be. But remember, who wins the race? 🐢🖖
