Sunday morning deadlift session. Continuing with the banded rack pulls. Last week was for singles this week 5 sets of 5. Also threw in some bend over rows and finished off with some quick pulls with light weight. Very good session and those banded rack pulls are no joke, loving them so far. Had a tough but fun session at @muscleworksorpington today with @katie__al. Full session went down like this: 1. 2*15 leg extensions warm up 2. 3*12 pit shark 3. 2*12 reverse v-squat 4. 4*15 leg press 5. 3*10 sissy squat 6. 3*12 leg extensions 7. 2*30 seated leg curl drop set 8. 3*15 back extensions Now to fuel up ready for my next deadlift session on Wednesday 💪💪💪.

5 month difference. Same weight- 137lbs • • First picture was the day I stopped Keto in March and stopped eating only 1100-1200 calories. I was 137lbs and still not super happy with my body composition. I immediately started eating carbs (slowly added them in every week- 40 total, then 60,80,120,140,180,210), learned about flexible dieting & macros (listened to so many podcasts), and lifting! Now I eat ice cream, donuts, fruit, vegetables, and also double the protein as I was on Keto. However I feel the body composition change is 100% related to lifting weights. In March I jumped right into @marifitnessguides and also bumped my calories up to 1700. From there I spent 12 weeks building muscle, immediately got my cycle back, gained 5lbs and got all the way to my maintenance of 1950 calories!!! IT WAS TERRIFYING TO GAIN WEIGHT and honestly my body looked better with the gain. I legit felt like a million bucks and was getting so strong and confident. After 12 weeks of higher calories and a cruise I ended my reverse diet at 147.7lbs (gained about 4lbs on my cruise!! Living life and eating and drinking a lot 😂). Started my deficit at a whooping 1800 calories!!!!!! And lost 2lbs steadily for a few weeks. • • I mean that altogether should make you want to reverse diet (slowing adding calories til you reach maintenance, can be done with any way of eating even Keto, no it’s not for when you don’t want to lose anymore weight, reversing should happen every 3-4 months of a deficit). Giving my body rest and an adequate amount of food helped me be able to lose weight eating 600 more calories than I was before!! At 1100-1200 I was STALLED. • • Any-who I’m currently in my deficit still at an average of 1550 calories. Losing about 4lbs a month. Lifting 4-5 days a week. 11k steps average. Intramural soccer games 1-2 nights a week (only cardio I do). Took one 2 day diet break (back to maintenance for 2 days) and plan to do another one in the next few weeks. I’ll be in a deficit til October 31st 🍭🍬🍫 and immediately jump back up to 1750 calories through the holidays!!! • • If I look at the scale it says I made no progress. I’m the same weight!!! Don’t only look at the scale.

GLUTE ACTIVATION Glute activation is so important to do before any glute workout, and I always make sure I do a few sets before and after my main workout. In this I used a bosu ball, which I find really helps with balance and helps target the glute area.
