The Mukden Palace was built in 1625 and was where the first three Qing emperors lived from 1625 to 1644. Since the collapse of imperial rule in China, the palace has now been converted into a museum in Shenyang City, Liaoning province 💫

Currently living in a fairytale ✨🏰💫 Rothenburg ob der Tauber is one of the oldest and most historic of the medieval towns along the Romantic Road. The city stood as an impenetrable fortress for centuries. From the time of the first Imperial Castle in 1142 to the siege of 1631, the city prospered and became what visitors see as a crown jewel on the landscape. This changed during the Thirty Years War, which started in 1618 as a dispute between the Catholics and the Protestants. The Imperial Catholic Army took the city and left three months later leaving behind an empty town that had been stripped of its riches, the citizens hungry and defeated. In 1634 the Black Plague came to town and took the lives that the war left behind, 40% of the survivors lost their lives. The city was a shell of its former self. Although the city had never been burned or destroyed, Rothenburg had none of its former power, no future and no money. The town fell asleep for 250 years and this is the reason why the city is so well preserved. It was the 1880s and Europe was entering the Age of Romance. German painters discovered this sleeping town and through their work, the rest of the world discovered this perfectly preserved example of life in a time long since passed. By the beginning of the 1900s the tourism trade had become a real factor in the rebirth of Rothenburg. But one last disaster hit the city in March of 1945 when Nazi soldiers dropped bombs on Rothenburg killing 36 people and destroying 306 houses, public buildings, ancient towers and fortress walls. The city was spared of further bombings due to the intervention of two American generals. Today you can visit what is virtually an outdoor museum of life in the time before the 17th century because of the poverty and despair that followed the Thirty Years War. 🇩🇪 #rothenburgobdertauber #germany #travel #traveldeeper #travelawesome #traveladdict #traveltheworld #lifewelltravelled #theglobewander #mommydaughtertime #wanderlust

Did you know there are around 138 pyramids in Egypt? 🇪🇬 The three largest and best-preserved were built in Giza at the beginning of the Old Kingdom 🌟 We visited the Pyramid of Khafre which to be honest was quite a trek 👣 To get to the inside of the pyramid you have to slowly crouch your way through small intricate tunnels 🛠 Once you get to the inside burial chamber it is completely empty as most of the royal treasure was breached by tomb robbers 💰 . . Would you go inside the Pyramids? ☀️ . . #myonebigplanet #gltlove #thetravelwomen #sidewalkerdaily #sheisnotlost #passionpassport #dametraveler #travelawesome #girlsthatwander #femmetravel #traveltagged #welivetoexplore #travelstoke #lifewelltravelled #blondesandcookies #timeoutsociety #ladiesgoneglobal #travelawesome #beautifulmatters #citizenfemme #mytinyatlas #girlswhotravel #egypt #cairo #cairoegypt #pyramids #historyfacts #traveltheworld #exploremore #planetearth

💫Took a little trip to Copenhagen this month and oh my what a beautiful city. Copenhagen needs more attention, its way too underated. ... ... Copenhagen ticks all the boxes,✔️ beautiful city, friendly locals, sustainability friendly, green, spot on health-based food scene and saying it was just 'cycle-friendly' would be the understatement of the decade. 😆 ... ... Alconbury // . . . . . . . . . You were the sweetest little farm town in England. Thank you for giving us a day without the hustle and bustle of a major city, and truly some of the most beautiful cars to play with. We had such a blast with all of you. . . . . . . . . . Favorite memory: The specially made wine glasses the made just for our show as a giveaway. . . . . . . Least favorite: when @xtinacamaj had to kill a spider in my room the size of my palm.... Life is all about laughing in the rain. Sometimes life sucks but you cannot just wait for the lows to become highs you need to accept your situation for what it is and until you can change it you just need to weather through. Time is not going to rewind after you get out of your bad situation so you need to make that time worth living just as much as any other time! 💕 📸: @rachelslifestyleblog - - - #stonehenge #vegantraveler #creativegirlcrew

Just a wild horse looking for connection. JOURNAL // I got back to the island three weeks ago and after a few days I feared that I would get too comfortable calling the island home. I feared that I’d take Hawai’i for granted. I thought I might see Hawai’i with a duller lense than the one I use when I’m traveling to somewhere new in the world, however I’ve come to the realization that my life is a journey (read that again) and I’m happiest when I’m wild and free (regardless of my location). #notallwhowanderarelost WHAT I KNOW NOW // I thrive in places where I’m surrounded by natural beauty. I thrive when Hawai’i takes me out of my element and challenges me until it becomes a new normal. I thrive when the island gives me opportunities to co-create and connect with the community because no matter how wild and free I may be, I realize I can’t do it alone. #luckywelivehi #lmlhawaii I’ll be offering monthly business workshops to the community in Hilo, Hawaii every 4th Saturday of the month at @perfectharmonyhawaii from 2:30-4:30 for the rest of 2019. There’s one scheduled for 6/29 which focuses on Abundance in business and I hope you’ll join us for the workshop! Includes tea, networking, love and laughs! For more info, send me a DM - sign ups in advance is $22-35, $45 at the door 🥰

I don’t believe in the Mr. Big-Guy-Up-There watching over me and my life. I don’t believe in the Prince-Charming, appearing out of nowhere and magically solving all the problems (some of which I might not have been aware of myself). I don’t believe in the afterlife or other lives out there waiting for you to finally do all the things right. I don’t believe in the second chances in general. I think, we only have one. That’s why, probably, I value honor (with honesty obv included) so much. With only one life, messing up is not something you can afford, hoping to fix things tomorrow. Or the day after tomorrow. Or, I dunno, another life maybe? Nope. I think that we should respect ourselves just enough to notice the value of the words we form with our mouths. The weight of every promise that is to be kept once it’s given. Tasting the disgust of every lie, before spilling them out of nothing but revolting fear. Sense the damage the word may do to a person before it leaves the heated tongue. Feel the importance of actually living the words, abiding by them, before being able to say them out loud. This kind of honor, once lost, could never be fully regained. And that’s what makes it so precious.

Is it worth it? I am deeply convinced that everything is possible. That, with enough determination, every goal, however unrealistic, can be reached. That the world offer unlimited possibilities. So, what are the braces? The main ones are the fact that human abilities are no more than a drop compared to the ocean depths of the universe. We, humans, unlike the world itself, are limited. We depend on money, the physical abilities of the bodies, and, most importantly, time. I’ve said it hundreds of times (and probably gonna repeat thousands more): we don’t have much time. Our life span is way too short for us allowing ourselves the pleasure of wasting it or manage it inefficiently. One more brace is the price one may be willing to pay for reaching their goal. That’s why, before setting any goal, I ask myself, whether all that effort is worth the result. Whether I will not be discouraged halfway to my goal. What are the chances of my efforts being paid off? Because, you know, choosing one goal out of many means not putting them on hold, but actually abandoning them, giving up on them. And you cannot have it all. That questioning could be the greatest brace of all. The fear of unknown, to be more exact. However, if you are unsure whether you really want something, it means that you don’t actually desire it, right?

Sometimes, we all have to choose. Somewhere, at the dawn of life, the realization that the world, unlike human abilities, may be limitless, strikes. And after all those way too well-known stages (shock-denial-anger-bargaining-depression) comes acceptance. And with it - the necessity of choices. And every choice has consequences. No one else but I am responsible for my life. Because it’s me who makes all those choices (not making them or allowing others to do so is a choice, too). Thus, it’s me and me alone who has to deal with all the consequences that arise. Some of those are far from pleasant. That sometimes makes me think that there might not be any need for hell as we can handle torturing ourselves just fine. Guilt, missed opportunities, harsh words... all that is deadlier than the ice of Cocytus and the flaming tombs or being stretched upon the burning sand. It’s easy to succumb to all those tortures and let your life flow. Letting others and the life itself decide is simple, but it leads nowhere. Nowhere you might want to be, at least. After all, all those choices shape the personality. Every choice is not only the choice of the path to follow, it is also the choice of the traits to nurture. All of them are like cutting a diamond out of dirty stone. And there is never too late to make some changes. You cannot unmake the previous choices but you can make the new ones. After all, it’s you who decides.

This picture was taken by @voguediary , my amazing bestfriend, with whom we have known each other since we were children. To think of it, the friendship is one of the greatest treasures one may find in life. All my friends, without any exceptions, are the wonderful people I admire. All of them are very different, undeniably unique and special. They are so different that I’m having a hard time even picturing all of them together in the same room. To me, they are the best people in the entire world. The most talented ones, the most intelligent, inspirational, witty and so on. Due to my hectic lifestyle and to the fact that I haven’t yet mastered the art of teleportation (especially between the countries), we don’t meet often (or, at least, regularly) with all of them. However, that doesn’t mean that I love some of them less. Love doesn’t depend on such things. I’m grateful to the moon and back for having them in my life. ❤️
