When I started I had some simple goals to achieve... - 1:Build a way to do this for a living. STIR THE POT is a fantastic core exercise - making your plank more interesting and challenging 👍 Here’s some points to watch out for: 🔥 Using the Swiss ball, position your shoulders directly above your elbows, staying on your toes, feet hip width apart. 🔥 Try to keep a straight line through your body not letting the hips sag or go too high. 🔥 Keeping your core “locked in”, do a circular motion with the arms, as wide as you can. 🔥 Aim for 10x clockwise & 10 x anti clockwise and let me know how you get on!

For all you weight lifters out there, let me say a rather dirty word: CARDIO 😜 - ...A style of training that I generally don’t do nearly enough of mainly because I just don’t like most styles of it outside of swimming and walking. - However, for all you weight lifters out there who suffer from the same dilemma as me, there are great alternatives to running on a treadmill. An example shown above is using kettlebells for many reps in a big compound movements: this one is swings into horizontal rows. - I recommend this exercise mainly for cardio and full body coordination because it is a big compound movement with a large “bang-for-buck” in terms of gains (gets the joints moving and oxygenates the body, which is a great way of reducing muscle soreness and joint stiffness for all you hardcore bodybuilders out there). It involves many muscle groups working in conjunction (glutes, hamstrings, core, back extensors, traps, biceps, forearms, rear delts, lats) and requires good body balance too. - The above example is one of hundreds of dynamic kettlebell exercises, and is a great cardio alternative - or addition - to running on a treadmill which can get rather repetitive. - Remember to bend the knees slightly and lean forwards with a straight back (hip-hinge) until the hamstrings stretch and then drive forwards with the glutes and hamstrings to an upright position, while rowing the arms either side of the head. Then push forward and lean forward to carry on swinging the weights. The above is 2x8kg KB for 10 reps just as a demonstration of how to do it. - DISCLAIMER: the above exercise is only an example of what I can do. If you have any doubts over whether you can do any exercise, clear it with a GP beforehand.
