Let’s ditch all the fancy jargon of the fitness world that a small percentage care to learn and get right to the basics shall we? ⠀ Plain and simple: bands work just like weights - they provide RESISTANCE (a force) that requires your muscles to contract. ⠀ Walk side to side without bands and the movement feels like a breeze. Then, strap a band around your calves and a few reps later you will wonder where they booty burning rubber came from and how it can possible light your butt on fire within seconds. HOW DO I USE THEM? ⠀ In these videos I show you HOW to use the band for various glute focused exercises. I am finally pushing up to heavy-ish singles with a 9x1 @165kgs. Wait for the swan dive from @lil_vane as she just needed to make an appearance 🙄 The first workout after a body massage is always a mind f$ck for me tbh. It might be that my body is loose and my legs are a little too fresh for me. To be the best strength coach I could be, I had to adopt many different disciplines like it’s MMA. Kettlebells, bodyweight training, Olympic Weightlifting, and sports performance training. There are idiosyncrasies for all of these disciplines, and the only way to be successful is to totally immerse yourself in training these areas. 🤙🏼. I’ve helped athletes prep for the NFL, worked alongside Olympic medalists for soccer sports training, taught all the kettlebell lifts to precision, and have made some groundwork/flow masters (at Google!). And guess what? I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. There’s so much to learn. (This FRC thing has been super fascinating for me) 🤙🏼. Never stop learning and think you’ve arrived. It’s a loooooong journey.

🔴WHERE TO LOOK DURING SQUATS🔴 by @fittrainers ⠀ Your high school coach or crappy personal trainer was wrong. Here's where you should look when squatting. ⠀ Yeah you will hear a lot of different opinions on this. From what I gather, keeping your eyes mostly forward or slightly down keeps a more neutral spine, and there are all kinds of articles and info out there showing that a more neutral spine = better lifts, period. ⠀ Your neck can't be cranked backwards when you squat, nor can you be looking straight down. The ideal position is with the head pushed slightly back and the chin slightly tucked. Slightly. It's not excessive. ⠀ Sure, many coaches will tell you to look up. Why? Because they don't squat heavy and don't expect you to either. Know what's worse than herniating a disc in your lower back? Blowing up the tiny discs in your neck that you use literally to eat, speak, and live. It's a bitch. ⠀ You can look up with your eyeballs without cranking your neck backwards. Where you look isn't that important. Some guys look up, some look straight ahead, and some look down. What is important is to keep a neutral cervical spine regardless of where your eyes go. ⠀ I hope this was helpful and of course, if you have any questions. Squat squat squat!!!! Felt pumped for todays session. This weeks core lifts I have scheduled for 5 sets of 5 reps... Well I did those sets and then some. I did box squat for these sets and I have been doing box squats for the last couple of weeks. I plan on doing box squat from now on and add parallel squat in my routine every other week. Here's what I did; 1)175lbs x 5 2)185lbs x 5 3)195lbs x 5 4)205lbs x 5 5)215lbs x 5 Extra sets; 6)225lbs x 5 7)235lbs x 3 8)245lbs x 3 245lbs x 3 is a new PR for me. Just last week I was only able to get 225lbs x 1. During my spring break I did not go to the gym hardly at all and I think it's why I am seeing such a dramatic jump in weight. [Anzeige] Das 3. Mal seit einiger Zeit wieder normal gebeugt. Ich hatte zuvor das Problem das meine hintere Kette (Beinbeuger, Po, Rücken Strecker) so dominant war, dass ich keine vernünftige Highbar Beuge ausführen konnte. Jedes mal streckten sich die Beine und danach erst zog der Oberkörper mit. Also hatte ich meinen Fokus auf die Frontkniebeuge gelegt und vermehrt den Beinstrecker trainiert. Resultat aus dem ganzen ist für mich eine klar viel bessere Highbar Kniebeuge und mehr Selbstsicherheit. ▪️ Was mir aber ebenfalls viel gebracht hat ist es die Atemtechnik zu verbessern. ▪️ Mein Gürtel ist ein Lever Belt von Supplify (ist auch makiert).
