We all have a story.
a reason why we show up.
Maybe we are searching for something, maybe that something is ourselves. Maybe we don’t know what we are looking for or what we want to find & feel.
Yoga for me is a way of life. I owe everything to this practise. It was there for me when I was ready to give up & it welcomed me with open arms.
Yoga allows you to be here, in the now, in the present moment just being. Being YOU. Finding & connecting to your breath, Prana the life giving force. It isn’t about postures, a physical practise, it’s about rediscovering yourself, slowly peeling back layers, unlearning what we have had distilled into our minds as social normality from generations previous. Its finding a way to be free, free from expectations, judgements, society. It’s standing out in the crowd & being content with yourself/your choices. It’s finding a way to be gentle & compassionate with yourself & others. Observing & retraining your mind, watching how you react to things, understanding your body, becoming one with yourself.
Today starts off mental health awareness week. In our practise we are going to be connecting to our thoughts, our minds & also working with some positive affirmations allowing ourselves to realise how incredible we all actually are.
The light in me, honours the light in you (even if you haven’t switched it on yet, it’s there waiting for you). Bhagavad Gita: “Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self to the self”.
