Lately I’ve been challenged to create outside of the box for @unbridalkc (Show this coming Thursday). I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience, but it requires a lot of energy as I pour my heart and soul into each piece I create. I think about how others have poured into me. My family, friends, and my clients. I deeply appreciate you all. If I’ve met you and talked to you, you have brought me joy and inspiration.
People ask me all the time how and why I got started making veils. The truth is, I just started one day on my 4th wedding anniversary, and have been creating ever since. I chose to keep my business name open because I didn’t want to limit myself to veils (I felt that I would want to create more). The how was simple, but up until now the why was not. I didn’t really know why I’ve been doing this, other than I was just following God’s lead and doing what I wanted to do. I’ve been asking God why lately. He has shown me through interacting with other artists in my life, and all I can do is cry tears of gratitude for Him placing such beautiful souls in my life. He has shown me I’m doing this to serve others through creating and that is so beautiful to me. God created this world with such beauty, and now we can change lives with what we create. That just blows my mind.
Now where I’m going is still to be discovered. Join us on this journey. My husband @jasonjartpro and I invite you to see our first collaboration of art and fashion on the runway this Thursday night at UnBridal. We are creating to change lives. All proceeds benefit @imaginethatkc and Halo KC.
