Introversion doesn’t mean the same thing for everyone. 👏
When I first started this account, so many people said, “I can’t believe you’re an introvert!” 🧐
Like, SO many. What they didn’t know is that’s because I made sure they didn’t know.
For years, it was reinforced that I needed to speak up, and be outgoing, and come out my shell. The result being that I would push myself and then crash. 😓
It wasn’t until I was older that I accepted that I wasn’t going to be perceived as outgoing all the time and became okay with that. I’d gotten this far by just putting my head down and working on what was important to me and that was enough. It was more than enough! And when I started being upfront about things that drain me, people didn’t push back.
I’m not the same as every #introvert. 🙌
I like speaking in front of large groups, not all introverts do.
I like team sports, not all introverts do.
I don’t mind being on video, some introverts do.
You get the point!
We aren’t the same just because we’re introverts and we don’t all fit the neat category people like to put us in. I created a quiz called “Which Kind of Introverted Entrepreneur Are You?” There are 4 different types and only 6 questions to find out which you are.
I mean, introverts love personality tests, right? 😂
Hit the link in bio to find out which kind you are! 💯
Tell me how you don’t fit into the introvert stereotype in the comments!
