FIND YOUR WHY 💗 . What gets you out of bed in the morning? What brings you joy? ... Is it your friends/family? Work? A hobby of yours? A dream you have for the future? .⠀⠀ As important it is to look towards the future and plan for it. It’s also important to be reflective. Look at what has made you happy and do that MORE. Look at things that have upset you and do that LESS. Of course there are some things you can’t change or have to do. Money doesn’t grow on trees, BUT be creative, smart, put yourself first and care about YOUR happiness by finding ways to live your life as FULLY as possible. . In the past I’ve often found myself doing things to make others happy (or how I assumed they wanted it) at the expense of my own happiness, goals or time. There’s a fine line between putting yourself first and being selfish, but it’s so important to respect yourself and care about your happiness too. Those around you want you to be happy, care about you, respect you taking steps to pursue your own happiness and will understand. . This year I promised myself to do just that. To continue to focus on personal growth, push myself to love myself more, live more fully and do what I enjoy doing. I absolutely LOVE helping people, living a healthy lifestyle, looking after myself, being around amazing friends and family ... and continuing to connect with others via my social media. So I plan to keep doing these things. Doing them unapologetically, genuinely and passionately 💫 . RECOIL S2 - Low Row Adjust the Recoil to medium length Step 1 - Face the Recoil and hold the handles. Lean backwards until your arms are straight out in front of you and your body angle is around 45 degrees. Keep your body straight, chest out and head up. This is the start position. 2nd Legs session over Llan in a row ✅ The lack of Hamstring isolation equipment here means that hip-dominant movements like the RDL are mandatory. The only issue is that I have to more of less go into muscular endurance threshold sets in order to reach failure. This was my last working set, and my hamstrings really weren’t playing along. Time to rest up and go again for Push tomorrow, and hopefully find a way down to Kicks for a Push session!

Today’s Push session ✅⠀ ⠀ All things went to plan with today’s Push session - which is evident when I started Incline DB Pressing for the first time in months.⠀ ⠀ This was my 2nd loading set on the Plate-Loaded Shoulder Press - 3.5 plates each side. I posted on my story earlier about how this movement isn’t as smooth as the usual plate-loaded press I use. LEGS @ Llan ✅⠀ ⠀ All things considered, I am pretty happy with today’s Legs session. Only the Leg Press as Quad compound. ⠀ ⠀ This was my final set of DB RDLs, really emphasising the hip-hinge. There’s a lack of legs equipment at this gym, with no hamstring isolation movements. This meant I had to resort to increasing volume on the RDL - which is difficult with the heaviest DBs being 50kg. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⁣I still have Online Coaching spots available. Today’s Pull session at Llandarcy!⠀ ⠀ Without a car for the next few weeks, so a lot more sessions will be up here. ⠀ ⠀ There’s a huge restriction on equipment, especially when training Legs. However, the one variable that I will always keep the same is Intensity.⠀ ⠀ PB’d 3 plates each side on the Plate-loaded Neutral Grip Row (step back) for a good few reps. PLANNING YOUR TRANSFORMATIONS AND DIETS⠀ ⠀ A topic I am craving to discuss on video, possibly bring the youtube back if there’s enough interest. ⠀ ⠀ It’s coming to the time of year where you start saying “I want to lose weight ready for the summer.” ⠀ ⠀ Brilliant. The inital motive is there, potentially breaking into the preparation mode of change? ⠀ However, the first mistake is there:⠀ ⠀ “Lose weight” - What does that mean? How much? Rate of weight loss per week? Unless you have a weight limit to reach, and you just want to look better, you want to monitor progress by how you look. Chasing numbers on the scales is unhealthy because of the amount of fluctuations that can occur with bodyweight. ⠀ ⠀ Next, we have the whole “oh I’m cutting carbs because they make you fat.” Wrong. Eating more than you burn makes you fat. ⠀ You need carbs to produce glucose for energy. Guess what? 0 carbs means minimal energy = lower energy output = Less weight loss. ⠀ ⠀ Change your mindset on Carbs. Instead of thinking “how low should I drop carbs?”, ask “How high can I keep my carbs whilst achieving weight loss?” ⠀ ⠀ Then we have the whole training situation. You’ve been made to believe that you need to do hours of cardio to lose weight. Wrong. If you want to look like a flat and depleted marathon runner, then go for it. Wenn Du diese Frage anderen in unserem Sport stellst, bekommst Du fast immer die gleiche Antwort. Nein! Natürlich ist das auch ein Antrieb, eine Motivation um sich selber weiter zu verbessern. Oft sind wir aber auch viel zu selbstkritisch und dann kann es auch wie eine Bremse wirken. Einige verlieren einfach mit der Zeit, eine reale Einschätzung von uns selbst. Deshalb stellt euch doch das nächste mal vor den Spiegel und fragt euch. Was gefällt mir denn schon sehr gut an mir? Denn ich finde, sich selber auch mal zu loben, ist etwas was viel zu kurz kommt und auch vielen sehr schwer fällt. Könnt ihr euch auf Anhieb selber loben?
