Scapula movement and why it’s important! . . If your scapulae are tight, sore, stiff, etc it can and will impede all of your upper body movements. All four of your rotator cuff muscles attach to the scapula! I cannot stress enough how important it is that you take care of your “shoulder blades” and make sure they’re moving freely and properly . . En petitess för många, en stor grej för mig. Jag har alltid haft tjockare handleder och grova, större händer. Ringar och armband var hopplöst att hitta, då dom jag tyckte var finast som "alla andra hade" var för små från bas. Sedan fick jag denna klockan förra året men använde den aldrig. Varför? Alldeles för tight armband. När jag försökte ha den så stoppade den i princip mitt blodflöde så det började pirra i fingrarna. Det boosta inte direkt självförtroendet. If you can use a compound movement to “isolate” a specific muscle, that’s always going to have a lot more carry over compared to a machine. _ _ These Spanish Squats, just like a leg extension, will isolate the VMOs (vastus medialis), especially if you follow a slow, controlled tempo as demonstrated. Wrap a thick band around a rig or weight tree (as shown) and step through with both legs, having the band around the knees. _ _ However, unlike a machine, you will also get the benefit of knee stability and knee extension. Try these out on your next leg day. Nutrition gets talked about a lot in the fitness and health world. Some advocate following certain diets, while others swear by counting macros or eating “intuitively.” As someone that’s been overweight, underweight, and everywhere in between, I take a different approach to this topic . . When I was overweight, I was physically and mental drained most of the time. My poor food choices affected more than just my appearance, but also my health and well-being. Once I cleaned up my diet, I found myself not only looking better, but FEELING better. I wasn’t anymore chronically fatigued, I didn’t need to overdose on caffeine throughout the day. My mental focus and attitude benefited very positively once I honed in on my nutrition . . I take the 80/20 approach to nutrition. Most of the time, I am fueling my body with wholesome, nutritious food. I load up my plate with veggies, add in a protein/fat/carb and I’m good to go. A typical breakfast for me includes oats with peanut butter or protein powder (depending on my mood) or yogurt with some berries and topped cereal. Lunch is usually something quick- a protein with some sort of veggies to keep me full until dinner. Dinner is usually similar to my lunch, because I am a true creature of habit and if something isn’t broke, don’t fix it 🤣 . . I threw in the chocolate cake picture for good measure. You cant live your life restricting your favorite foods- if you cut out a certain food labeled as “bad,” once given the chance to indulge, we sometimes take it a little too far and eat a little too much. For me personally, eating good most of the time allows me to add in those indulgences without going overboard or feeling like I am missing out on my favorites. It takes trial and error to figure out what will work and what won’t work. If you’ve tried the same diet 6 times and failed all 6 times, maybe it would be a good idea to step back and take a different approach. Finding out what works for you is a continuous journey, so be sure to enjoy the ride and don’t feel like you need to be going 100 mph towards the destination :)

I wanted to do abs, and I did partially, but not as much as I wanted.... _______ I got a headache doing crunches, because of the pressure it puts on my head! Not the first time that happened, and I worked a lot on my breathing during ab exercises, which helped out a lot. It's just not perfect yet.
