B I G N E W S !!
so i went on a trail ride with shadow, aimee’s OLD owner and her kids. yes that’s right OLD owner!! i’m currently paying shadow off so i can call him mine!! shadow also has to be moved so he is being moved to his new adgistment on tuesday.
i am so proud that i made this happen. for anyone wondering, this is something that i have worked my ass off for, it wasn’t just handed to me by my parents, it was a “you want it, you do it yourself” situation. i had to find a job myself so i can pay for him and all his expenses (applied for over 20), i had to walk around my neighbourhood by myself and ask for adgistment, i had to pay for all of his tack (saddles, pads, boots etc...), i have to pay his expenses (food, feet, teeth, worming etc), i pay for all of the competitions i want to do and sort out his bucking problem (i can now ride him without him bucking). honestly, i have to say it feels so rewarding doing it yourself. everything is possible. if anyone thinks they can’t get a horse because their parents can’t afford it. don’t think that. my family is the furthest thing from rich and you are too young to pay for it yourself you’re not and you can do it. get a job, work hard, find good deals and honestly you CAN do it by yourself. shadow is my first horse and i couldn’t be happier about it. i used to always watch videos of little girls getting surprised with ponies and always wished that was me but trust me, it’s so much better when you do it yourself.
also wait until you see his new adgistment. it is actually so gorgeous. i didn’t even see all of it but apparently there is a 450m track and an arena. there’s some yards too and a shed for me to keep my tack in. also a beautiful big paddock but he won’t be in there for a few weeks, he will be in the yards until he settles in and we have fixed the fences.
anyways have a great night x
