I understand that strength is subjective... . But putting aside an imbalance (very strong pressing movements vs very weak pulling movement) can you think of a negative effect of being too strong? . Like most of you know, I really love good and healthy food! This is the smoothie bowl I like to make for lunch some days. It's really easy to prepare and all you need is a blender😊 . 50 gr. greek yoghurt 60 ml almond milk 80 gr. frozen berries 1/2 banana All mixed together until fully blended. Then I add 1 spoon chocolate whey protein from Optimum nutrition ( @perform.is ) and blend it until it becomes fluffy . I added 10 gr. muesli on top and strawberries . I’ve waited so long to announce this because I wanted to be absolutely sure that my message came across clearly! I am anticipating some push-back from this and probably some loss of followers (no hard feelings, go be you), so I want to head off as many WTFs as I can from the very beginning. ⁣ ⁣ I am starting competition prep!! Now, let me clear up a few points:⁣ 🔹I will NOT be doing anything drastic! No super restrictive dieting, no crazy hours of cardio. Everything I do will be SUSTAINABLE. This will become my LIFESTYLE. ⁣ 🔹My husband will be acting as my trainer/coach. He has WAY more weight training experience than I do! I’m making my own meals (with the help of my rockstar husband), and my workouts will be done at home while juggling a toddler and an infant. I *will* show that anyone can do this. #noexcuses ⁣ 🔹My primary focus is NOT on my physical appearance. I’m actually quite happy with what my body looks like. My focus is on athleticism and having the healthiest lifestyle I can have. I’m not dumb - I realize that when I do step on a stage I will be judged on my physical appearance. But for me that is only going to be a side effect of all the healthy habits I am putting into play. ⁣ 🔹Breastfeeding my baby girl will remain a priority. My body fat percentage will not get low enough to decrease my milk supply. If it starts to, changes will be made! ⁣ ⁣ Now, living in the Middle East, I haven’t found a regional competition to enter, so I don’t actually have a “show” date. That’s ok! I actually kind of prefer it that way. You know I’m all about being the tortoise! Not having a specific date will allow my body however much time it needs to adjust to the new habits I am introducing. ⁣ ⁣ My daily workouts will be posted on Instagram and Facebook as usual, and I will be keeping a video diary throughout that will be on my YouTube channel. As I mentioned yesterday, this week is my assessment week. I am also trying to add lean protein to each of my meals and observe any strange habits I’ve picked up that aren’t as healthy as they could be. ⁣ ⁣ In a nutshell: I am putting all my philosophies and beliefs to the ultimate test!! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #fitmom #competitionprep
