We all heard the protein are most important nutrients in our daily life. But how much and seems it’s still have the highest calories among all nutrients. So, Iets know some important key point here👇🏽 🗯Based on RDA(Recommended daily allowance) organisation 0.8-1g per kg of bodyweight is ideal for adult males BUT it seems They forgot there is some bunches of lifters and athletes that NEED more than that🤷🏽‍♂️ . ❗️First of all; on what is "recommended" daily protein intake based? The major indicator is your bodys nitrogen balance state! Protein is the only nutrient which contains nitrogen and you want your body to be in POSITIVE NITROGEN BALANCE so simply put; how much protein do you need to achieve positive nitrogen balance state?(sufficient amount to build or preserve muscle) . ▪️For people who don't lift it seems RDA wasn't wrong; 0.8-1g per KG of bw indeed is sufficient for achieving the positive nitrogen balance. . ▪️For lifters who are trying to lose weight/fat the rough numbers would fit betwen 1.6 - 2.5g per KG of bodyweight in order to maintain as much muscle as possible while in the state of caloric deficit . ▪️For lifters who are trying to gain muscle(bulking) approximate intake "should be" 1.2 - 2.5g per KG of bodyweight. . 📎Important thing to notice in the last 2 situations is that these numbers were also based on achieved MPS(protein synthesis elevation was roughly the same at both ends of the range)Also the leaner people and more muscular individuals usually should strive hitting the higher end of that range #bodybuilding #fitness #gym #nutrition #healthyfood #food #healthylifestyle #johorbahru #instagood #kitchen #healthyeating

When life throws you lemon, make lemonade right? So what do you do when life throws you excess of mangoes? You try to be as creative as possible to include mangoes in everything! . You saw mango roses, mango smoothie, mango purée chia puds and now I'm throwing mangoes into this rainbow salad together with my signature chili lime dressing. Sweet, sour and spicy to complete all the taste dimension . On the other box is onigiri with lotus root chips. Onigiri is so essential because it's sucha space saver in bento really. This time I made it with shiso leaves and generous amount of seaweed and sesame seeds for filling. One for lunch, another for dinner. Happy new week all xxx

Starting to work a lot harder after getting back from orientation and realizing I was one of the weakest lifters there LOL. It was honestly the mental push I needed to finally start training my butt off again and break past my current plateau. I’m switching up my routine by adding in pull-up sets (great for a back and bicep finisher) towards the end of my workout. Make sure to focus on control. Completed an all liquid day, coffee, coffee, water, juice, water, Lacroix, water and this beverage I picked up @blkwaterofficial at @plummarket. It tastes SOO GOOD! It’s slightly sweet, and full of #b12 - and black water what??? No calories what??? I only got one because I did not know how I felt about it - I need to go back and get another tomorrow! Is this just trendy?- don’t care - love it! Still got in a good amount of calories, but not even close to being over which feels amazing. I TRULY DO BELIEVE... ✨The UNIVERSE sends us EXACTLY what we are READY FOR at the EXACT TIME we NEED IT in OUR LIVES✨ Unfortunately this means both the good and the bad... This week has been a hard one for me for various reasons. Yet, I still was able to focus on the positives. Why? Because I know I am in a transition phase of my life. If I got comfortable and accepted where I am today, I would be miserable and unhappy with my circumstances because I would allow myself to believe things would not get better. Instead, I kept doing the best I could each day. I did my morning affirmations for my mind to help quiet my negative inner voice. I completed my workouts for my mind and body. I surrounded myself with positive people for my soul. I grew stronger in weak moments because I never gave up. Did I have moments where I felt hopeless, of course! But, I never gave up. I kept working on my home business. I kept working on my grad school work. I kept working on my personal development. I kept working on getting stronger mentally and physically. I kept moving forward...was it my best week? Not by far!!! But I am better than I was the day before because I never gave up. Have I felt like giving up? Your damn right!!! In the mail yesterday was my book for my book club that I signed up for on Monday with my team and it couldn’t have come at a better time...seriously!!! This universe stuff is legit!!! We all have moments where we struggle...yes, even the people you think are strong and have it all together!!! If you do not read personal development books, get on it!!! And I don’t want to hear “I don’t read books,” because they have audibles for that! We ALL have the power within us to change our lives, it’s just a matter of WHEN. My journey to becoming healthier and happy has not been short of obstacles, but that’s why I have an incredible support network that has my back 💕

Last week was an extremely long one. I was traveling and working 16 hour days, and I really struggled staying on track with workouts and eating clean. The old me would’ve let that set be back not just the week I was gone, but for weeks after as well. No excuses - I had a rough week. But I’m back now and back at it. I could tell I missed a week at the gym because everything felt harder. But I went. That is what matters. 😊
