Protein is a vital macro for all of us. Found in every cell in the body, protein is responsible for the repair & building of new cells/tissue. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, & blood. Basic Guidelines for a sedentary adult are that your body would need bare minimum of 0.8g per kg of BW. So when we look at protein intake we need to look at the persons goal. If you have a person who is bulking/wanting to add some muscle definition, then they actually don’t need super high protein.... contrary to popular belief. Of course protein is responsible for the repair & building of muscle mass & is important but actually protein timing becomes more important & the amount you consume in 1 sitting. During a bulk you need just enough to allow for recovery. To much will take away from the much needed carbs & won’t cause any greater gains. Also if you are bulking you will be either at maintenance or ideally in a small surplus. Your body won’t be in a calorie deficit so it will be in an anabolic state & won’t need to break muscle or fat for energy!! So during bulking, I usually recommend around 1.6g-2g protein per kg of BW. Now if your goal is to get lean/lose fat, then your protein intake becomes more important. For a couple of reasons. Firstly because we want to prevent muscle breakdown as much as possible during a deficit. Secondly,because protein is a thermal effect food (TEF), this means that it’s much harder for our body to digest & your body will actually burn around 70-100 calories just by trying to metabolise proteins. Protein also keeps you full for longer. In a calorie deficit your body is in a catabolic state, it’s looking to breakdown tissue for energy. The leaner you get the more likely your body will feed off more of your muscle mass. Protein intake can help spike protein synthesis & maintain this muscle mass. So for someone in a calorie deficit, I’d have their protein set at anywhere from 2g per kg BW - 2.6g per kg of BW. #protein #macros #calories #muscle #gains #fatloss #diet #dieting #nutrition #nutritionist #weightloss #bodybuilding #bulking #prep #leanmuscle

Let me know how your recipe comes out. ••• INGREDIENTS: 4 Salmon fillets Salt & pepper to taste EVOO (2 tblspn) Cherry tomatoes (1 cup) Spinach (1/2 bundle) Parsley Butter (1 tblspn) Garlic paste (1 tblspn) Heavy whipping cream (1/2 cup) ••• DIRECTIONS: 1) Season salmon with sale & pepper 2) In a pan drizzle EVOO place salmon & cook both sides about 6 mins each side) 3) Take out of pan & in the same pan drizzle EVOO & add butter & garlic paste to simmer. 4) add tomatoes & spinach cook 3 minutes. 5) add whipping cream & parsley cook 3 minutes then add salmon & simmer 2 mins. WITNESS - THE - FITNESS Transformation from 75 to 64 kilos I have been making New Year’s resolutions forever. To lose weight was on top of them all but least accomplished. It was May 1, 2018 when I joined Curves fitness and that’s when my topmost New Years resolution finally started taking shape. This is where my Fitness Story begins! After joining them, within weeks I was convinced that I would reach my goal. We started with basic exercises then a mix of cardio based workouts and functional training and the going got tougher. There were nights when I was very sore and would get hunger pangs. But, I wanted to see a fit version of myself and my mirror was my constant advocate. I kept reading transformation stories of people who joined Curves Fitness and wanted to be on the Witness the Fitness list! With no compromise on my workouts and diet, I was hopeful I would lose 10 kilos - my Goal. After 2 months of weight training and cardio, I lost 5 kgs and was super charged since my goal was now within reach. With the help of the team at Curves Fitness I knew this was possible. Being constantly positive, I pushed every inch telling myself continuously ‘not to stop, it’s a long way to go’. My workout regime got stricter and so did my determination. With a change in my mental make up, discipline, hard work, diet modifications and constant motivation from the team at Curves Fitness, I have lost 11kgs till date. I feel great and transformed and plan to hit the 15 kg mark soon. Thank you Curves Fitness. These beauties are absolutely delicious and have been 100% approved (and eaten!) by 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 I have slightly adapted the recipe from @julya66 and I am super happy with the result 🙌🤪 Recipe for 12 muffins (picture only shows 8 as we couldn’t help testing / tasting!) ▪️130g of 0% yogourt ▪️210g of self-raising flour (or 210g of flour + 11g of baking powder) [next time, i will try with 110g of oat flour and 100g of corn flour (+11g of baking powder) to make it gluten free] ▪️25g of corn flour ▪️200g of no added sugar apple puree ▪️75ml of milk ▪️2 apples cut in small pieces ▪️chocolate chips Preheat the oven: 180 degrees Add all ingredients together and pour in 12 silicone muffin tins. Heat for about 25 minutes. Allow it to cool down before tasting. Enjoy these no-added sugar/fat and yet sweet and soft muffins 😘

👇👇👇РЕЦЕПТ ТУТ 👇👇👇 До літечка ще трішки, а ти все ще не дозволяєш собі солодкого? Дієтичні десерти це не тільки морковні кекси та творожний креми, тому хто хоче чогось оригінального-солоденького але без шкоди для фігури то ласкаво прошу на мою сторінку, тут великий вибір. А зараз за величезною кількістю прохань я ділюся з вами рецептом мега-смачного дієтичного печива з лимонним курдом. Тому велике прохання хто збереже цей рецепт, покладіть будь який смайлик в коментарях. А тепер до рецепта: Гортай фото👉👉👉 | 2 яйця 40гр кокосової стружки 250мл кефіру 3гр агар-агару Цедра 1 лимона Ванілін 20гр кукурудзяного крохмалу 15гр вершкового масла 100гр улюбленого шоколаду (по бажанню можна додати підсолоджувач) 1️⃣Відділити жовтки від білків. До жовтків додати кефір, цедру, крохмаль і ванілін (+можна підсолоджувач). Поставити на слабкий вогонь та довести до кипіння. Після кипіння варити крем ще 5хв.2️⃣Залити агар 200мл води, і проварити 5-6хв.3️⃣До крему вилити агар і масло, добре перемішати, процідити через сито і залишити. 4️⃣Взбити білок з дрібкою солі до піків (я взбиваю вручну, так легше контролювати щільність взбитих білків). Як тільки білок добре тримається на вінчику додати кокосову стружку, акуратно перемішати. 5️⃣Викласти на пергамент пластом товщиною 1см (20х12см), покласти в розігріту до 160°С духовку на 10-15хв. 6️⃣Перебити вінчиком крем, щоб розчинилися грудочки які вже утворилися за рахунок агару. 7️⃣На охолоджений корж викласти крем, і покласти в морозилку на 3-4год, краще на ніч.8️⃣Нарізати гарячим ножем, заморожене печиво на довільні шматочки. В мене вийшло 20шт (4х3см).9️⃣Розтопити шоколад і окунати кожний шматочок в шоколад. Викласти на пергамент і дати охолонути.🔟Зробити улюблений напій та смакувати.
