This week we met with Rylan’s teacher. It’s very nice to have a teacher that genuinely seems to like your kid. We knew Rylan had to have been doing pretty good in class, based off his straight A report card, but it was wonderful to hear exactly how well he is doing. She told us that he’s doing great in math, but she thinks he’s bored. And that at the end of 2nd grade, students are expected to read 90 words/ minute with full comprehension & at the beginning of the year he is already reading 120 words/ minute. She said that he is very literal with his assignments & answers. He’s funny, but not disruptive. She said that he’s not very organized (but I already knew that! Lol!!) and he doesn’t play at recess. He sits on the bench and observes the other children playing. When asked if he wanted to go play he said, “No, I’m reserving my energy for Minecraft when I get home.” 😂 She also said that she is nominating him for gifted and talented challenge lab, and couldn’t believe he wasn’t already in it. ♥️♥️♥️ I am so proud of this kid!
