Some days you eat salad and go to the gym, some days you eat cupcakes and refuse to put on pants... its all about balance (Anon). __________________
Its easy to think that everyone else is winning at life... eating healthier, exercising more, being a better parent.... i do too! Roosevelt summed it up when he said “Comparison is the thief of joy” so here’s some thoughts for comparison.... _________________________ 👩🏻🍳 its true, I drink herbal teas.... but i also drink red wine, beer and whisky 🥃 👩🏻🍳 its true, we have nutritionally dense smoothie bowls for breakfast.... but we also eat cornflakes and toast 🍲 👩🏻🍳its true, we cook with vegetables and make humous .... but we also eat beans on toast 🍞 👩🏻🍳 its true, I do exercise... but I also binge watch box sets 📺 👩🏻🍳 its true, I like to cook healthy food.... but I also order takeaway curries with extra popadoms 🍛 👩🏻🍳 Its true, I don’t eat refined sugar, very little gluten and dairy but I have been known to eat all of those in one sitting!
- Health is not about perfection its about owning your life and making choices that are right for you, your family and mental wellbeing. - Praise and reward your efforts, make small but consistent changes and marvel in the good that you do. Its all about perspective - your own perspective! And remember your perception of yourself can change if you want it to! - Forget expectation, its just a stick to beat yourself with when you feel like you’re failing at being healthy. If you’re making positive changes you’re winning at being on your own path to health and wellbeing 😘
