These are some beginner rules to live by that helped me. Good rules to live by doing the Ketogenic Diet: ●Always keep your carbs 20 grams or less. 🙂 Allowed: Meats, Fish, Poultry with skins/fats (wings, drumsticks, and thighs), eggs. 🧀 Full Fat Cheese up to 4 oz a day. (Do not get low fat, because when they remove the fat, they replace it with sugar.) 🥛Heavy Cream (not milk) up to 2 tbs a day. 👉 Mayo up to 2 tbs a day. (NOT LITE OR LOW FAT) 💁♀️ Butter and Olive Oil on veggies and salads. (GRASS FED butter. Kerrygold is my fave. I get it in a four pack from Costco or it is very reasonably priced at Aldi) 🥗 Veggies – 2-3 cups leafy greens (a cup is about the size of your fist). I love the Power Greens from Costco. Sometimes I lightly saute it in extra virgin olive oil and some spices instead of having a salad. 🚫No Grains. Rice, Bread, Pasta, Potatoes, Sugar, Milk, Beans, Corn, Peanuts. 🌰 Nuts in moderation because they are not carb free. (Pecans, Macadamia Nuts, and Brazil Nuts are the BEST CHOICES. They have the lowest carbs) 💙 Only eat when you are hungry. Listen to your body. I also eat 1 whole avocado 🥑 each day! 1/2 an avocado per meal. I mix 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil or MCT Oil in my organic tea in the morning and blend it. Keeps me satisfied for 5 -6 hours.
