As we put another 100 Dinner to bed as well as ourselves, we are blanketed in gratitude for the sponsors, volunteers and guests that makes this big gathering feel more like a holiday celebration than a fundraiser.
Watching Charlie Loomis from Feed converse with Erik from Niedlov’s over the flatbread fire pit that Nate from 2 Sons Kitchen & Market created, it makes our hearts melt.
Listening to guests, who have never stepped foot on the farm, speak with some of our board members, who have been volunteering for almost a decade, it gives us hope as more feet walk through our gates.
Seeing former longtime workshares Kaleena Goldsworthy (Bitter Bottle), Karen Brokaw (Blue Indian Kombucha) and Jessie Gantt-Temple (Feathers & Fruit) swap stories about how Crabtree grew their ideas of entrepreneurship, which are all a blooming success. It solidifies that our 20 years here have had an eternal influence on our community and the planet.
Grow, educate, connect. We do. We have. We will continue to.
Til the next time! Sweet dreams of fields of local food and full community. #GrowEducateConnect #CrabtreeFarms #WhyWeGrow #KnowWhereYourFoodComesFrom #GrowLove
