🌈 Are you reliant on Caffeine or Pre-workout? 🌈 First day in a long time lifting without some form of stimulant! 5th week into a deficit so yeah, it was tough! But challenges are great for me mindset which is why I tried it. I’ve also been a bit stressed lately and I think having caffeine is not helping and my sleep quality has been shocking. I think having a mini break from anything in life is healthy, so caffeine is my mini break at the moment. Here’s me lifting 5 sets @110kgs 3+3 (10 sec pause). I’m a huge fan of visualisation! Currently visualising three things this year. 1. Place in my first powerlifting comp 2. Be under 20% body fat 3. Move to Byron. All these things are going to happen, I’m following my heart so the universe will provide 😘

So today I just went to training after work, forgot my wrist wraps and a change of clothes so benched in my work T-shirt and @activchiropractic taped up my wrists for me then later after my bench I found spare soft wrist wraps in the corner 😅😅 but anyway the tape worked pretty good! Thanks to Kristian for the handout that dumped onto my chest lmao but I still got a pb! 45kg for a top paused bench single!! Finally haha. It moved okay but grindy but all things considered, I did my best haha. Then had back offs at 40 for 3x3 which were pretty good if I do say so myself 👌🏾 Can’t wait for next week of my program 😍 this mock peak has been amazing! Some late night work from a few nights ago. Did an AMRAP on the deadlifts. Looking back at the video I feel as if I stopped using my legs as much. Mind you they were already sore so I’m not surprised, which is also why I went light on the weight. Accessory work was fun. Feels good to continue to work on my strength with an amazing program from @strongstrongfriends until there is a meet for me to compete in. Really looking forward to competing. FINALLY back on the official platform after a 1 year hiatus learning how to weightlift. 🏋‍♂ Snag 2nd place - Not bad for a first comp in a stacked 67kg class. Did NOT miss weight cutting at all... 70.5kg ➡ 66.9kg in 6 days. Thanks to @primeperformance__ for planning and executing a very successful weight cut. This was by far the least stressful of weight cuts as I was still able to eat ice cream till the very end and no sauna required! 😉 One take home from this comp is that you REALLY need a good coach and handler to worry about warm ups and attempt selection. This shit was constantly changing! Bit of a different ball game to Powerlifting where it can be a bit more predictable.
