Cherry Berry Fruit Leather 🍒🍓🍇
I am obsessed with fruit roll ups and fruit snacks lol. This recipe has been on my mind for a little while now but I never got around to making it. It’s pretty easy, just 2 ingredients. Fruit and sugar/honey if you choose to add any! I used frozen mixed berries because 1, I didn’t have any fresh fruit, and 2, I needed to get rid of the huge bag in my freezer that never got use for smoothies lol. Before I puréed the fruit I had to let it all defrost in the fridge overnight. So if you use frozen fruit make sure not to just blend it all right then because the consistency won’t be the same. Once it comes out of the oven we’re going to let it cool and transfer it to some wax/parchment paper. After that we’re going to take some scissors and cut off the excess paper and shape up the edges of the fruit. Finally, just cut them into strips, roll them up and secure with some tape! I would’ve mentioned this in the video, but I had everything done before I realized lol. And as you can see, I used Saran Wrap in the oven. You probably think I’m crazy, but the few blogs and recipes I was looking at for inspiration swore by it so I decided to try it. The oven temperature for fruit leather should not reach more than 170 degrees F and plastic wrap doesn’t start to melt until 220-250 degrees F. But if you don’t feel comfortable using it, feel free to use some wax paper or a silicone baking mat instead.
