Did you know?
The Los Al Gym offers body work for recovery. A major component to our approach to manual body work is SOMA Therapy. And a major component of that is what is called, Liquid Articular Pumping.
What is Liquid Articular Pumping?
“It is a painless treatment of the tissue, which is precise and demands a good knowledge of the fascia, biomechanics, and the PRM (primary respiratory mechanism or movement).
When one works on a synovial liquid, the movement can be purely articular. But when one works on ligamentous scarring (from a sprain), or synovial tissue (inflammatory arthritis), it is appropriate to respect the integrity of the fascia.
It is therefore necessary to stimulate the rhythm of the circulation of the liquid within the tubules of collagen, the network of particular fascia (ligaments, bursae, capsules, tendons, etc.).” @somatherapyusa
Basically, Articular Pumping is a manual strategy with the intention to promote liquid mobilization to, through, and from a given articulation to normalize tension.
