Some nights, I don't wanna go inside. >>----------> After moving to Florida from Michigan, I admit, I mourned the loss of fall -- crisp air, vibrant trees popping against a cloudless sky, leaves crunching underfoot, and actually needing (not just wanting) to wear a cozy sweater. >>----------> But now, after five autumn seasons in the Sunshine State, I've learned to appreciate our Florida version of fall. The storms subside, humidity fades, nights are cooler but not cold, no leaves to rake, and absolutely no thoughts of impending snow to ruin the mood. >>----------> This past Saturday finally felt like fall. Florida fall. After watching the sunset at the marina, I walked back to my car, but didn't get inside. Instead, I kept on walking straight toward the afterglow, still lingering over the bay. My feet followed my eyes to the causeway, under the Ringling Bridge, and out onto the adjacent fishing pier. And there I stayed, until the horizon was no longer ablaze. No leaves, no sweater, but plenty of fall color! >>----------> What's your favorite season to be outside?
