In this post, you will learn the difference between Hip extension and Spinal extension, and how to perform the exercise correctly. Hip extension The target muscle in this exercise is the Gluteus Maximus! In this exercise the spinal erectors stabilize the spine in static contraction. Movement is only in the hip joint and not in the spine‼️ The gluteus maximus (red) and the hamstrings (pink) will be dominant when the thighs are on a supportive pillow and the pelvis is free to move. Man it feels great to be back! Nice little Deload/vacation last week. This week I dropped my carbs down to about 250 from 390 and slowly going to creep them back up over the next few weeks. This 8 week segment will focus on back twice a week (1 width focus day and one thickness focus day). Rocking an upper body workout in OG @gymshark the other day!! This was one of my first full sets from them, and I still love it to this day. Anyways, let's talk about the workout haha We are hitting back and shoulders today which are my two favorite upper body parts to train. I absolutely loooove a pumped shoulder. And as mentioned with the back, it gives the illusion of a smaller waist which we all seem to strive for #slimthickfit haha Workout: ° ° Row complex 12 reps x 5 sets (Both movements include 1 rep) ° ° Shoulder press with your palms facing each other 20x4 sets ° ° ° Y shoulder press 10x4 sets ° ° ° Plate complex Incorporates your biceps, shoulders and triceps! 15x3 sets ° ° ° Save it for later !
