- ALCOHOL and how I fit it into my diet weather I’m bulking or cutting down! 🍺 .
Remember, gaining muscle or losing fat comes down to proper macro intake for the day, but most importantly, calories in and calories out. You eat a surplus of calories, you gain weight. You eat in a deficit of calories, you lose weight!
The easiest way to track alcohol is to take the total amount of calories and convert them into a macro value (either carbs or fats) and deduct it from your day. This isn’t perfect science but it eliminates any guessing!
Example: Corona Beer 148 calories = 148/4 (4 calories per 1g of carbs) = 37g of carbs should be removed to account for the beer. If you want to take away from fats, divide by 9 instead and take that total away from daily fat intake.
Consuming alcohol isn’t the greatest way the use your calories but we are all human and we still need to enjoy ourselves 🤷♂️🤷♂️
