Who else thinks yoga is relaxing and not hardcore exercise? . I would put both my hands up to vote yes for the question until I tried Astanga Yoga @voyogauae . I signed up for this as part of my 34 challenges for my 34th birthday. I have done hot yoga before and thought how hard can this be? . I did a 10 mins abs workout from @fitnessblender before the class. Joke was on me when 10 mins through the class I was thinking what am I doing here?! I couldn’t hold a single pose straight. I was sweating just a few minutes through it and don’t know how I pulled through a 90 minutes lesson! YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT BRO! . I get bored of the same workouts and want to keep on experimenting with new fitness routines. The memory of this challenge remained quite fresh till the next few days of soar muscles! Yikes ! . I have been wanting to start yoga for a long time now. If you are a yoga practitioner let me know why should I start it? Is it really a good workout? Can it replace my current workout routine? . What makes you really fall in love with a workout program? I know for everyone the reasons are always a little different. Some like an intense challenge. Some like the workouts to be fun enough you don't realize you're working out. Some like a workout program that has short, effective workouts that fit easily into their day. Some like it to be transformative on more than just their body. For me, It has to have energy. It has to be fun. It has to be challenging. It has to build strength, agility, and endurance. It has to include active recovery days. It has to be less than 30 minutes a day. It has to not be the same workouts over and over. It has to be unique, dance-inspired moves a plus. It has to be effective. It has to build confidence. And this one has it all. 😍 I don't think I've ever looked forward to a workout as much as I have every day since trying out this one. Which makes it to work out. That's why when people ask me what workout program I would recommend for them? I always tell them to choose the program they think they'll love. The one they will be able to and always want to show up for each and every day. No excuses. 💪🙌

Ever feel like you are stretched so thin, and the pressure just keeps growing and growing? ⁣ ⁣ I hope that’s not the case for you, but if it is, I freaking feel you. ⁣ ⁣ The pressure to be successful ⁣ The pressure to have all the answers ⁣ The pressure to start a family b4 its too late ⁣ The pressure to provide for your family ⁣ The pressure to always keep going ⁣ The pressure to have all the things ⁣ The pressure to be at all the events ⁣ The pressure to constantly feel you need to ⁣ ⁣ BE MORE, DO MORE.... with LESS. ⁣ ⁣ The biggest lesson I’ve learned lately is that I’ve got to physically and mentally be present in my daily choices. ⁣ ⁣ “Surviving” isn’t enough for me, and in order to handle even half of that list above, I’ve got to TAKE care of myself, no. matter. what. ⁣ ⁣ 30 min a day is all I can really handle right now, as I’m going through these GROWN woman growing pains- and I dont want to do it alone. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve got 3 discount codes I’m able to gift to the NEXT 3 women who want to TEST out this program, and melt away the stress with me!!

⁣ Day 1 of a week of intentional living tidbits.⁣ ⁣ I decided for my first post this week to focus on fitness. I find that intentional fitness is the most tangible and easiest area for me to focus. ⁣ ⁣ Setting intentions for my fitness means creating a workout plan. My mind needs a start and end date, how many hours a day and at what intensity. This allows me to mentally prepare my mind, body, tools and nutrition to help me meet and sustain my goals. ⁣ I have also discovered that during my workouts, I enjoy and become more productive when I hyper-focus on my movements. ⁣ For example when I am lifting I concentrate on the muscle group I am working, slow down the movement and visualize each muscle set engaging and relaxing. ⁣ ⁣ Spinning can sometimes be tedious and I have fallen victim to mindlessly pedaling to music. However, when I point my thoughts towards my form, belly breathing and the fluidity of each pedal stroke my body relaxes and I become more efficient. Same with running, focus on breathing, relaxing your arms (and hands), and moving each leg with lightness and purpose. ⁣ ⁣ As a reminder each post this week will target the areas I am working on with intention. I am slowly progressing, some days it’s really hard to focus on my movement. I'd be lying to you if I said I feel motivated today. I feel a bit under the weather and just tired in general. I decided to carry my butt down to the gym anyways. Tomorrow I have another PT session. Focus will hopefully be deadlift and those type of things. I've also received some dietitian advise, but the advise I got was basically "eat bread and pasta". That's really not something I enjoy, so I'm just not gonna listen to it. As you lunge to the right, push your left hand toward your right foot and be sure to sit your booty back far enough to fully engage the muscles in your glutes and thighs. As you stand back up, extend your left hand upward like you’re pulling a sword out from your hip area and raise it straight up. Day 3: I realize that’s it’s easier to pick up a pair or weights then using my body weight. I struggled with every move. To be honest for the 1st I wanted to quit/stop/ just end after the 1st round.
