There is no one thing or magic pill to cutting fat. It’s a combination of a multitude of things. Including resisting cravings of wanting to stop at Wendy’s at 11pm at night and getting a Spicy chicken sandwich. You shouldn’t totally deprive yourself of things you like to enjoy either though, just do so in moderation. I find intermittent fasting to be effective but not doing it every day. As often as I can, I try and do my cardio in a fasted state post weight training in the morning.
About 4 days a week I do my work outs fasted because instead of doing them after being fed, your body burns MORE fat opposed to going straight for the carbs. For lean mass gain, I also find the 1:1 ratio for protein/ carbs to be effective. However, implementing a strategy of just decreasing carbs on non-training can also work. If you’re training 6 days a week though that may not be the right strategy for you.
Whatever the case, nutrition is key above all else. Implement HIIT training and if you want to drop fat then ensure you’re in a calorie deficit. And most importantly, be patient. Lean gains and cutting fat a healthy way does take time. 80% of how you look comes down to your nutrition and how much discipline you have to stay consistent and the willpower to fight urges when most other people give in.
