Awesome meal from @fitfoodzcafe after an awesome WOD. Chicken energy bowl, black beans, brown rice, salsa, skim milk mozzarella and a sweet potato. Only 405 calories. Today’s WOD was 7 rounds for time of 10 deadlifts (I started with rx at 185 and finished the last 4 sets at 155), 20 situps, and 30 seconds of kettlebell swings (18-19 swings of a 53lb kettlebell). Finished with 5 x 90 second rounds of the assault bike with 30 seconds of rest in between. Une salade tout les midi 🕛 j’aime beaucoup le faite que maintenant c’est l’heure du changement. C’est pas le résultat qui compte pour moi. I have always been so skeptical and terrible at making decisions... but when I learned about coaching something deep down just told me to go for it!!⠀ ⠀ I was in the absolute busiest phase of my life! Away from the house from 6am-10pm student teaching five art classes, one English class, had zero prep period, was commuting two hours a day, coaching volleyball for some side cash, taking 18 college credit classes, finishing my exit exams to graduate but still felt something was missing! Coaching... I added that bad boy to the list in hopes it would help me put fuel in the car to commute to my unpaid teaching job and when we were struggling HARD this guy right here supported me and cheered me on every step of the way!⠀ ⠀ All those late nights, early mornings and days I just felt like a failure, he pushed me to keep dreaming big! Now we get to dream big TOGETHER all because I said yes to this opportunity!⠀ ⠀ That seemingly small decision almost four years ago has literally changed my life completely! During my second round yesterday, I accidentally skipped one of the exercises. And at the end of the last transition I was a little caught off guard by the time of my second round. I know they often go faster than the first but this felt too quick. When I finally went through it in my head, realizing I missed one, I was quick to justify any reason not to complete it since it was out of order and I got a good sweat in. . One of my favorite lines in class is to remind my clients that the only person who gets cheated by a weak work ethic or a skipped rep is themselves. Which some may take as an easy route out but I take as a big slap in the face. For I am the only person who has the ability to hold myself accountable. I am the only person who has my back 110% of the time. I am the only person who experiences the results of finishing the entire workout. Even if it were just one exercise I missed. So at 5:35 in the morning, I picked myself up, put my big girl panties on, and finished that last exercise. Because if I am truly my biggest fan, I will not let myself cut corners. For when I start to do that for myself then I start to accept that from others. . Enjoy todays workout friends! Sending you a ton of love. . Run 1.5 miles (to start) . Sometimes your day doesn't start as smoothly as one would like. I accidentally took my husbands phone to gym instead of mine 😑. Which means I did not have access to my #liftwithcass app. Eeek! Luckily for me I had a sneak peak yesterday of today's exercises.. I got them all in the wrong order but I did them all! My hammies and glutes are definately feeling it! So you get no gym pics or videos today... instead a reminder to myself how far I have come (aug '17 vs today). The pic on the left was a wake up call to myself, I didn't realise how big I had gotten until this pic was taken. I was mortified and embarrassed. My journey since has been up and down. Found a great program and met some real nice motivating people and some new friends! I then found out something that gave me a false feeling about the program and then I started to just drift for a while until I found @casssmartin app Lift With Cass. I have been using it since October last year. I can feel and see myself getting stronger and I AM LOVING IT!! I only wish I had this type of focus when I was younger.
