As I was writing for a client on #oatmeal this morning, I need to dig deeper on how to overcome food dislikes. We all develop food preferences on certain taste & texture as we are growing up; it’s fascinating to see how some foods are so well-liked in one country, are so widely-disliked in others (take natto as an example). It is also interesting to see how food preferences change as we age; maybe we got wiser and learn to accept it, or maybe taste buds really change. For me, I’m no oatmeal fan whatsoever when I was young, and now I learn to love it. LOW CAL LOW FAT GRILLED CHEESE & WRAP 🧀praise god for this snow day because I have time to cook!!! It’s actually crazy how much i miss my kitchen like damn you never realize how much you love something until it’s gone😂😂 🧀no classes also means less walking and less calories burned, so I used these to hit my protein numbers without going over on calories 🧀for the grilled cheese: •macros: 133 cals, 0.5F, 14.5P, 22C •I used 2 slices of low calorie bread, a Kraft fat free American single, and 14g fat free shredded mozz •sprayed aluminum foil with nonstick spray, assembled the sandwich, then sprayed the top and baked (more details below) 🧀for the wrap: •macros: 159 cals, 2.7F, 24P, 19.5C •used an Extreme wellness high fiber tortilla, Kraft fat free American single, 14g fat free shredded cheddar, 1 oz Tyson grilled chicken strips, 4 small cooked shrimp, and some buffalo sauce •cooked the chicken and shrimp (because they were frozen), then stirred in some hot sauce. Put 1/2 of the single near one end of the tortilla, then half of the chicken and shrimp, topped with the shredded cheese, then chicken and shrimp and other half of single. Wrapped it up, sprayed aluminum foil, sprayed the top and baked 🧀I would have preferred to have toasted these in a pan stovetop, but the one in the dorm kitchen was dirty so I baked them together on aluminum foil at 350 for about 10 minutes 🧀they were both beautifully crispy and gave me an incredible melty inside! This is our parmesan crusted chicken which basically speaks for itself but we topped the chicken with the @traderjoes mushroom medley Alfredo. We wouldn’t say you should go running to try the Alfredo any time soon — it was just alright. Tastes more store bought than restaurant quality, but still a fun addition! . Now what you DO need to hurry and buy is the veggies... O MY GEE. They’re in the frozen section at TJ’s and called Misto Alla Griglia. Put the Trader Joe’s garlic & herb butter over ‘em and you could seriously eat just that forever. It’s that good. 🤤

So the little guy got sick for the first time. Nothing worse than seeing your baby sick and scared and there’s nothing you can do about it. 😰 . Though despite being exhausted, hungry and a little dehydrated today - he’s in good spirits and starting to act like his old self again. Now let’s just hope the rest of us stay healthy 🤞🏻 . Linda história de superação da Ana Em 2012 apareceu um tumor na minhas costas, na lombar dai fiz várias biopsias e nunca dava um resultado certo, em 2013 fiz a cirurgia grande para tirar e logo depois comecei a quimioterapia, na 2° passei muito mal e foi suspendida, aí fiz radioterapia, logo depois iniciei as quimio denovo, foram 6 sessões de quimioterapia forte e 30 radioterapia, quando estava tudo bem apareceu um nódulo no meu pulmão em 2014, fiz a cirurgia e não era nada graças à Deus, fiquei curada, em 2015 o tumor das costas decide voltar, e novamente fiz outra cirurgia e nessa foi bem mais invasiva, pois foi tirado toda a musculatura da lombar para não voltar mais e tbm um pedaço do osso do quadril, o médico disse que eu ficaria com várias sequelas, não andaria mais normal e ficaria "torta" pois só tenho um músculo agora que me sustenta, mas Deus é maravilhoso e não me deixou com sequela alguma, a única é a dor que sentirei sempre Mas com isso tenho que me acostumar e fazer atividades físicas para amenizar. Esse ano ainda em agosto passei um susto também, pois apareceu uns nódulos no meu fígado e os médicos dizendo que era metástase, fiz 2 biópsias bem dolorosas do fígado e graças à Deus deu benigno. XL COOKIE DOUGH POP TART PIZZA 🍪no classes today (thank you snow!) so that means I had time to actually get into the kitchen and whip up this beauty! I’ve been wanting to try this for sooooo long and it was 100% worth the wait! The pictures don’t quite capture how huge this thing was, and it definitely filled me up after a brutal leg day! 🍪I used the same ingredients for the stuffing and the spread on top, just with a little extra of the dry/absorbant components in the stuffing part so it would be more like a dough inside 🍪MACROS: 517 cals, 16F, 41P, 63C 🍪ingredients: •1 Joseph’s lavash, cut in half (the short way) •1/4 banana •1T fat free cream cheese •1/4 bottle MuscleMilk 100 calorie chocolate shake •1/2 packet sugar free hot chocolate mix •2T pb powder •1/2 Quest cookie dough bar •1/2 FitCrunch cookie dough bar •2 Hershey kisses, cut into 4 chunks each 🍪directions: •preheat oven to 350F •mash the banana and the cream cheese until smooth (recommend microwaving for about 15 seconds first) •add the protein shake and mix again •stir in about 3/4 of the hot cocoa and pb powder •put about 1/3 of the mixture into another bowl, and add the rest of the dry ingredients into the larger bowl •spread the mixture in the bowl with more dry ingredients onto one lavash half, leaving the edges clean •dab water around the edges of both halves, and then press them together to make a pop tart. Make sure to press the edges together well so no stuffing comes out! •spray the top with a bit of 0 cal cooking spray, and bake for 5 minutes until slightly crispy •spread on the rest of the mixture, and cover with chunks of the protein bars and kisses •bake for 10 minutes 🍪tips: a vanilla or pb protein drizzle would be amazing with this! Simply mixing some protein or pb powder with some Greek yogurt and stevia would do the trick!
