[MOVEMENT IN NATURE]
There’s a lot to say about movement now that the weather‘s changing and the sun shows itself more.
I don’t coach/train people who are mainly focused on aesthetics (muscle growth) simply because my movement philosophy is not the most efficient at creating that result. Their time and money is better spent elsewhere.
However, for people looking to improve their overall health & wellbeing, I’d say I’m possibly a great fit. Here’s why.
I like to explore what movements my body (and that of my clients) is capable of expressing. Things like pistol squats, handstands, or in today’s case, this movement flow.
It absolutely doesn’t have to start there. It’s simply one possible path we could chose to explore.
A flow blends together a variety of different physical attributes (see “colors” post), are fun to learn, and stimulating in many ways.
From creatively looking to add new components, to realizing certain attributes need a little hand, to challenging yourself to move softly/quickly/lightly.
Also, the added value of being outside, getting sunshine on your skin, being barefoot & thus grounded in the earth, hearing birds, ... does more to our wellbeing we like to believe.
It’s the environment in which we spent 99% of our evolutionary time.
Want to feel better? I invite you to spend more time outside. It matters.
