So microtransactions are a sensitive subject in the gaming community and rightly so. A lot of people have been justifiably very concerned over the planned mtx of Anthem. Here are a few screenshots showing them, all of which are as previously mentioned, purely cosmetic. As you can see, there are shards and coin options for all of them. Shards are the premium currency, coins are earned in game. The game started with 80k coin for me - and I've earned comfortably around 20k and I'm level 7. It seems pretty generous. So, the price of shards? If you look at the second image, you'll see the price for 1050 shards. £7.99 without the Origin Access discount. That's enough for an Epic skin, and a little besides. I'll let you decide if that's good pricing or not - but I think it's fair to say that we aren't being ripped off, with the fact you can buy everything with the (really rather generous) amount of coin awarded just in game. It seems EA learned a bit from the Battlefront II furore. Thank goodness for that.
