I've been a bit crap this week so far! Sausage and bacon sandwiches for breakfast. No exercise. No excuses. Lovely talk last night, honeys chatting to #fernandolaposse and the #fallenfruit duo. It seemed appropriate to share fruit after listening about fruit trees, foraging and maps. These are the green unripe plums we call #erik in Turkey 🇹🇷 it was not available to buy in London only until recently but there were occasions where we found them on trees in parks namely one of them the Gwendwr Gardens I location tagged and the other one in Mudchute farm in Isle of Dogs. I am looking forward to visiting the exhibition to see the said map and find out the location of the mulberry trees of London. It was insightful to listen to Fernando Laposse and his efforts to find natural materials that resulted increased biodiversity in a little part of Mexico by introducing heirloom corn farming using traditional practices and generating income for farmers and for women who is creating these materials. Getting your nutrition through proper diet, combined with some cardio (for most) and continuing to put stress on the muscles with weights will help with your metabolism and developing lean body mass💯. For me, so far so good. I'm starting to see a little bit of definition in my legs but still, I got more to work on. You can see a noticeable difference in the amount of fat on my lower body vs upper. I also need to get my legs under the sun asap lol 🌞😅. Fruits, veggies, and whole grains are excellent and amazing foods that repair damaged DNA and keep our cells in check and avoid becoming cancer. - However, there is still concern for which foods may cause inflammation and lead to cancer...there are no foods that cause inflammation. - The real issue and culprit, is excess adipose tissue (fat tissue) which causes inflammation, which then causes cancer. - Numerous mechanisms have been suggested for how obesity increases the risk of cancer: ♦️fat secretes cytokines that promote inflammation - ♦️excess body fat may impair immunity - ♦️obesity leads to insulin resistance - ♦️elevating levels of insulin, insulin-like growth factor-1 and other growth factors that foster malignant transformation and proliferation - ♦️fat produces estrogen which is especially relevant in the increased risk of post-menopausal estrogen-receptor positive breast and endometrial cancers - Obesity is also associated with a poorer prognosis in a number of cancers with evidence accumulating that intentional weight loss after a cancer treatment may improve survival. - Focusing more on balanced nutrition and exercise to reduce fat tissue is going to be more preventative than omitting trendy foods that are labeled “harmful” by inaccurate media. . . . . #Repost @thedairyfreedad • • • • • I’ve been wanting to make my own chick’n breasts recently and tonight I finally took the leap! • • The chick’n is made with vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, cumin, veg stock, and apple cider vinegar. I then steamed them and baked mine in some buffalo sauce to add a kick.
