Despite this being one of the most featured bathroom 🛀 on @instagram we haven’t posted it until now, so here’s a little story 👇
Our #EATFitzroyLoft ensuite bathroom exemplifies our vision and formal aesthetic. The bathroom is only 1.5m wide, it is long and skinny, the slope of the gable roof was retained to highlight the original factory height.
The fine steel windows with the slight obscured glass is like a fine veil between indoor and outdoor, bringing in light and air, let the space breathes. The floor and walls are cladded in Calacutta marble tiles, giving the bathroom just enough luxe to be special, without ostentatious. The original brick piers of the factory were left untouched, juxtaposing its presence among the marble.
Unlike most warehouse conversion project, it goes past the superficial reference to a 18th century warehouse. We DON’T want to recreate the warehouse feel, we want to be in THE warehouse with new stuffs in it. ✌️
