Repost via @wckitchengarden - Apples from our little tree 🍎 I have one small espaliered apple tree and it has been loaded with apples every year. Apples grow so well on Vancouver Island and most are quite resistant to disease making them a very rewarding crop to grow. Many types of apples also store really well- simply sort out any bad, bruised or bug eaten ones and store the rest in a cool place like a garage. You can wrap or layer them with newspaper to help prevent any spoiling ones from spoiling the rest. (You’ve heard the saying, “one bad apple spoils the bunch”? Well it’s true) Off I go to pick and preserve!

Modified @wholesomeyumblog ‘s Keto pumpkin pie recipe with almond flour crust to make pumpkin tarts! They were a bit high in carbs when we logged them, but half a tart after dinner is all we need! Or a whole one if we stop giving a fuck 💁♀️
