“Carretonas", Cerceta carretona (Anas querquedula), Garganey. En nuestra web: http://bit.ly/2Hx58J6 Cisne vulgar", (Cygnus olor), Mute swan. Pintura original. #RetratosDeFauna #WildlifePortraits   #WildlifeArtist   #WildlifeArt   #PinturadeNaturaleza   #ArteyNaturaleza #ArtandNature   #PabloPereira   #Fauna #Wildlife #birdlife #IlustracionCientifica   #scientificillustration #anatidae #Birds #oiseaux #ducks #waterfowl   #wetlands #sauvagine #wildfowl #Cercetacarretona #cerceta #Anasquerquedula #Garganey

Okay. This pair (we're pretty sure) of Mallards have visited us EVERY Spring for 10+ years!!!! They show up around the same time each year, the male always following and being the lookout, while the female picks for food under our bird feeders. They do this for about roughly a week, off and on, and then they're off to have their babies. SO.PRECIOUS 😭👍❤😃 #TRUESTORY #DUCKS #LOVE #MALLARDS #BIRDS #WILDLIFE #CUTECRITTERS #PRECIOUSNESS #GOOUTSIDE #NATURE #NEEEETURE #ANIMALS #GOTOAZOO #BEAGOODHUMANTOANIMALS #ALMOSTTHEWEEKEND

Water bound, two rather handsome Wood Ducks. North America meets Europe. Another of the perching ducks in the same genus as the Mandarin Duck the Wood or Carolina Duck is a conservation success story. Following a catastrophic decline in population numbers in the late 19th century as a result of unregulated hunting and habitat loss, the 20th century saw population growth over much of the ducks original range as well as some isolated populations outside of the birds home range such as this group in none other than London 🇬🇧 This is a seriously good looking genus😍 #ducksofinstagram #picoftheday #birdsofinstagram #royalparks #regentspark #london #uk #america #carolina #birds #ducks #bbcearth #wildlifeconservation #success
