Matterhorn Gotthard railways in Andermatt, Canton of Uri, Switzerland. The winding road that leads from Andermatt up to the Oberalp mountain pass is mainly used by hikers and sledders during winter. I was hiking down from the Nätschen railway station towards Andermatt on that road, when I was lucky enough to photograph the Glacier Express, one of the greatest train rides there is anywhere. After a few more bends, a very nice panorama opened up and I brought myself into position, waiting patiently for the next train to come, so as to add drama to the already sensational mountain scenery. After about 30 minutes, the Matterhorn Gotthard train arrived, connecting world-famous Zermatt in the Canton of Valais with Disentis in Grisons. What a sight it was, when I hit the shutter button and the wait in the glaring sun was more than worth it. To the right is Mount Gemsstock, almost 3000 meters high. When I was still skiing earlier on, this was by far my favorite mountain, because there are black diamond trails right from top to bottom. Some called them hell, I called them home. I wondered if it is possible to drone at this place near the shore of Lake Thun in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. And I was able to do so. This shot was taken last Friday and it was spring weather and temperatures all over. I had a good time on the road, listening to yet another audiobook and visiting places I haven’t been to yet and some familiar ones as well. In the midst of droning this place I was called for a job interview appointment and I am really looking forward to this one, because it’s actually looking like my dream job. So fingers crossed. 🤞 Today I went swimming again and even though my arms and legs felt a bit sore, I did the same routine like yesterday. After a few minutes it started to feel so good until the end. Then I went grocery shopping, which is a bad idea after a workout or when hungry, because you buy way too much food. On the positive side: there is enough for a whole week now, only fresh veggies and meat will be needed.
