Well, we’re in Chicago but there seems to be a . . . situation. It’s storming and therefore there’s no ground crew and therefore we can’t park and therefore we’re stuck on the plane and therefore it’s gonna be a long night! Ugh! Once we’re off the plane we still need to walk the endless byways of O’Hare airport, find our luggage, go through customs, get a shuttle to our car, and drive 3 hours home. Lordy! That’ll be about 6 am to us! 😳😳😳 So I’m going to sit here on the plane and look through my pictures from the last two weeks and remember the great time we had on our trip. (Pilot announcing as I post: it’s getting more interesting by the minute. O’Hare is getting flooded! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️💦💦💦) . . . . #hoosieronthemove #avebury #aveburystones #aveburyhenge #aveburystonecircle #discoverengland #discoveruk #travelissues #exploreengland #unlimitedengland #thisprettyengland #ruralengland #greatbritainshots #lovegreatbritain #ilovegreatbritain #thisisengland #travelengland #villagesofengland

The fact that just like me you couldn’t choose the best edit is reassuring: (see the previous post) nothing is wrong with my head. Or at least it is not only MY head :) Never the less - it’s Friday, folks! My weekend doesn't look any less busier though, but maybe you could get some rest or sleep in for me. Meanwhile I’m getting on a parent-taxi duty straight from the morning. So warmest ”hello” from a cool automny Cotswolds. Have a good evening xxx #thecotswolds #cotswoldstyle #cotswoldlife #discoverengland #discoveruk #lifeineurope #countrylifeuk

I have spent a fair amount of time walking the canals in sun and rain. Each time is different, with booming wildlife, a great barge community and even saw a man ‘walk’ a boat along the canal like a dog. 🚤 . . . . . #westmidlands #stayandwander #outdoorpassion

Surely this scenery must be a distraction for the cricket club players? With the pavilion down the valley, members are described as “past their prime; the sort of people who don’t get chosen when captains are picking sides in the playground.” Sounds like my kind of club!

HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!!! I hope you have a fabulous weekend planned whatever the weather is gonna throw at you. ⁣ ⁣ If I told you this photo was taken at a motorway services on the M5 would you believe me? Secondly would you stop there if you got a gorgeous view, outdoor walks, play areas and locally sourced food in a fabulous restaurant? ⁣ ⁣ The @gloucesterservices services is our go to pit stop when heading to the South West of England. Even if we have to take a loo break a bit sooner, we jump back in the car and go here for the ‘rest’ from driving. If you are heading down the M5 sometime soon we would definitely recommend it. Do you have a favourite motorway services - please tell me it’s not just me 😀

Would you believe me if I told you this picture is taken in the UK? St Ives, is for me the most charming destination in the country and as soon as you set foot on its golden sands, you’ll find it hard to believe this tropical paradise is actually in England. The scenery is amazingly beautiful, the little English cobbled streets are truly enchanting for all day walks and a traditional Cornish cream tea is obligatory if you’re in St Ives. #flymetothebeach #stives #cornwall #visitengland #discoveruk #beachholiday #ukholiday #visitcornwall #holidayideas #discoverengland

'Remains of the ..Bales.' Yesterday afternoon on the Dorset / Wiltshire border in the beautiful Cranbourne Chase. An uncut margin of cereal crop, with round bales still waiting to be gathered, I thought created an interesting image, as the sun decided to come out after the gloomy weather over the last few days. #outhwestengland #cranbournechase #countryside #rural #ruralview #farming #ukfarming #explorethesouthwest #exploredorset #explorewiltshire #ANOB #ukisbest #remainsofthebale #blue #bluesky #visitengland #visitdorset #countryside #landscape #auntumnalview #harvest #roundbales #sunny #walk #explore #discoverengland #visituk

Explored York... found a cute little tea and cake shop hidden upstairs in a teddy bear shop. Got to walk on an medieval wall. Went on an afternoon tea cruise, experienced an evening song at the York Minster, and walked over 20k steps. All the delicious scones and cakes were well deserved today ☕️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 #discoverengland #yorkshire #adventuretime #bucketlisttrip

There is this cute cafe in Ickworth House with huge Victorian windows looking out onto a lovely summer garden. As I slowly sip my coffee and watch the seasons unfold before my eyes, I imagine being Lady Mary from Downton Abbey. To complete the illusion I put on red rouge which looks lovely against my flowing  dress to match ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I would just like to say their homemade cakes taste divine as well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you could play dress up, who would you want to be? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #nationaltrustgardens #discoverengland #almostfall #slowliving_ #visitsuffolk ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #thisprettyengland #loveengland #besteurope #prettyplaces #ofquietmoments ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #bbcbritain #gloriousbritain #stylingtheseasons #livemoremagic #livingeurope ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We are really excited to have finalised the details of our upcoming trip to England in November. We are utterly happy because we are spending time with friends both in London and Bristol. This is why we're celebrating with a series of photos from our last trip to Bristol in July 2018. Enjoy!
