Spicing up the good old deadlift by swapping the conventional grip with a wider snatch grip deadlift. 1 week ago I walked out of a bootcamp class halfway through in tears , i couldn't do it and I didn't believe in myself. I didn't give up though, since then i have leg pressed 200kg and I have pulled a 105kg deadlift.... things can only get better!! 💀 DEADS 3sets 250kg x 2 💀 . Pressed for time today and didn’t read program properly, just saw the numbers and went for it... but they were meant to be block pulls 🤦🏽‍♀️ . Then finished with SSB squats again only had 20min so got my warmups and working sets done in that time. Was meant to be 5 singles at 180, I did 2 singles and 3rd set 3reps 💁🏽 . I enjoy doing #squats and #deadlifts together. It really tests my lower body to #stabilize itself throughout the torture It goes through an I also get a great pump! This was a quick session done this past Thursday. For squats I did....Warmup sets-Bar 2x20, 135 1x10, 225 2x5, 285 1x3, working sets- 315 4x1, 335 3x1 and 355 2x1 then a drop set of 225 1x12. My rest periods were 1.5mins with some #mobility stretches in between to keep the hips warm and loose for the deadlifts. For my deadlifts I did...warm up sets- bar 1x15, 135 1x10, 225 1x5, 285 1x3, working sets- 315 3x2, 365 2x1, 385 2x1, 405 2x1, 425 1x1 which is also a PR for me. I'm back! And it's Monday... the most important day of the week in my opinion a Monday is a fresh start if you've fallen off the wagon recently as I have! But I will just hop back on it and carry on! been a rough month for me... family stuff, stressful situations etc just life really but I have to get back on track for me because I will get stuck in a rut otherwise and all my hard work would have been for nothing, I've still been hitting the gym but my motivation has been low so I have not pushed myself as I usually would... diets been absolutely rubbish and I feel tired because of that...So time to get tough on myself again back on the lean gains train!
