My sisters all came over yesterday and we had a tea party. Our version of Galentines day. We started having monthly-ish sisters days where we all just spend the day doing something fun together. I definitely don't take it for granted. Treasure every moment with your loved ones! Sometimes we go shopping. Other times just hang out and talk. Yesterday was one of those. Except there was tea and pastries all around. So many pastries. All of my sisters are amazing cooks and each dish was so delicious and beautifully prepared. .
Today I'm tired. Maybe it has something to do with all those pastries yesterday. More than likely it's because I forgot my pink drink yesterday amidst the crazy day. Because although the tea party was lovely and calming, the hours leading up to it were not.
Abigail rushed into the house around 1:00 with the announcement that the second nanny goat was kidding and with one in her arms. The baby was unresponsive and limp and chilled all the way through it's body. We spent the next 2 hrs, rubbing it and keeping it in a warm bath. After an hr it started breathing regularly. A few more hours and it took a bottle! The only girl of the litter, we'll be keeping her as an addition to our herd. Today she's still cooped up in the house under a heat lamp, but she's walking and in much better health!
I'm posting more photos of the tea party and our miracle baby in my story.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I am going to try to squeeze in a nap before I go square dancing tonight!
