“I’d like to thank my husband for always being in my corner, my dog for being my best friend, and my dry shampoo for helping me feel human on days when I’m too lazy to wash my hair.” - Me, when I win an Oscar 💃🏼
... In all seriousness, dry shampoo is one beauty product I CANNOT live without. ... I looked at the ingredient list of the top 5 most popular dry shampoos and the first three ingredients on all of them are butane, isobutane and propane... all three are used by campers and BBQers to start fires! Not sure I want that anywhere near my absorbent scalp and blood vessels! Or to mention they all have fragrance, which could honestly mean anything (more on that later). ... These are three of my favorite CLEAN dry shampoos (and I’ve tried A LOT of them). ▫️ The dry shampoo from @innersenseorganicbeauty is a foam-to-powder formula. Very different from any other natural shampoo and takes a little bit of learning, but the finish is AMAZING, and no matter what your hair color is you don’t have to worry about build-up. It leaves your hair with a little extra volume & texturized. I’ve even used this as a little extra *oomph* before styling my hair. ▫️the dry shampoo from @kaianaturals is also great. Smells really amazing, and functions similar to a powder dry shampoo with one huge exception: you apply it before you go to bed! The powder will absorb the oils in your hair and volumize it throughout the night, so you can wake up ready to go. They have two color variations, one for blondes and one for brunettes.
▫️Lastly the dry shampoo from @littlebarnapothecary is so clutch. Use this one on the day when your yoga class went long and don’t have time to shower or you overslept your alarm and your only other option is to wear a hat. This formula is so absorbent that it makes my hair look like I just got out of the shower even on the 4th day of not washing it. I would recommend this product only for blondes or lighter-haired gals, because there is a chance of buildup.
