After my PBs yesterday I continued with my chest workout and focused on volume. The first exercise is low cable crossovers. Great exercise to learn how to squeeze your inner chest, and push blood into the muscle group. 4 sets of 8 changing the weight each set will really thrash your chest after heavy pressing movements. The second exercise is medium cable flies. You’ll notice I don’t use 1 leg in front to balance. Why? This is because it removes the tension off my chest and puts it onto the leg that’s helping keep balance. Instead what I do is keep my feet like I’m standing, so even when my arms go back the tension is constantly on my pectorals and the eccentric is just as hard as the concentric. 4 sets of 12 should do the job. Again, change the weight each set up or down, and pause the repetition.
