THAT'S RIGHT! THE LAST TWO BEST SPECIALTY CAFES IN NAGOYA ARE BOTH TRUNK COFFEE!
To be completely honest with you, the two of them are equally great, but they 'are' two separate shops so it would be counterproductive if I merge them into one post. 😒 let me tell you first the complete formula and ultra detailed step-by-step process on how I decided to post this last instead of the other one... This one serves coffee AND craft beer.
If you've already read the previous post about the other branch then I don't have to go through the coffee quality in this one bc they basically serve the same beans.
What I'd like to talk about in this post instead would be the entirety of the experience that I've had with Trunk's team that I've managed to meet (they have Tons of baristas and I think I haven't even met half of them). "You're already friends with the entire Specialty Coffee Community, you just haven't met them all yet"
I first came up with that thought when I was in the 🇵🇭 bc of how I seem to be able to interact with complete strangers in the Ph coffee community as if I'm just talking with long-time friends... and when I first visited Trunk, I found out that this holds true even overseas!
If ever you visit any of their two branches, I'll give you my word, with their baristas, as long as you engage them in conversation, you'll never feel out-of-place. I certainly didn't.
I might sound like a broken record bc of how I go on and on about the importance of barista-customer interaction, let me tell you why... Great Coffee gets you customers, but baristas are the ones who'll be able to turn them into regulars, they're the ones to leave first time customers lasting impression, and I'm just gonna say straight up that the barista line-up that Trunk Coffee has is one of the perfect example of what I'm talking about, heck the first time I visited, while I was sitting there drinking my cup I was already planning on when I'll come back.
I ALMOST FORGOT! I actually ordered one of their craft beers and all I have to say about that is this:
When I was floating my way home on a bike, I've been burping grape-flavoured air althroughout. And this concludes my Nagoya trip 😅
