Tired, yet motivated.
This is me at the end of all drawing sessions.
Charcoal portraits take a lot of time and energy.
Just this little bit of work done here took nearly 3 hours.
By the end, most of my portraits clock in roughly 55-70 hours scattered across a month span (...and is it ever really finished? -_- )
I’m just learning to appreciate other people’s art. I used to seldom take interest in someone else’s work —I wouldn’t understand the quality or the pricing to a piece so I’d just stare at it vaguely and walk away.
Now whether or not I like a piece of art, I can understand the time and dedication it takes to produce it and that alone is worth a lot.
So salud to my artsy fartsy brothers and sisters 🥂
I get it now.
