NEAT - Non exercise activity thermogenesis
This is the energy we use for non essential activity outwith the gym etc.
So its the number of steps we do, the movement we do throughout the day.
It's such an easy win when it comes to burning calories and helping a weightloss plan. It applies to everyone!
All you have to do is MOVE MORE!! ✔set an hourly alarm to get up from whatever you are doing and walk 250 paces ✔ditch the lift and take the stairs
✔park the car further away and walk the rest
✔do 10 squats/high knees - anything - whilst waiting for kettle to boil
✔plan a 20-30 min walk at lunchtime ✔take laundry up stairs a few items at a time
✔take the dog for a longer walk than usual (just add 5-10 mins)
Over time, with CONSISTENCY, you will notice a difference!
