I teach classes because I respect this profession. #blackgirlsdonailstoo is more than a hashtag, it’s our history. I know that many of you have been led to believe that Black Women are just entering this field of work but we’ve been doing this long before Shops were on almost very corner.
I made my mind up that I believe that everyone who is performing nail enhancements, manicures and pedicures should be as educated as possible! There are BILLIONS of people on this planet and I can’t do everyone’s nails—I can teach and be sure that as many people as I’m capable of teaching are as educated as they can be on nails. For 20 years I’ve been a PROUD #blacknailtech. I have been based in Detroit, to New York and now I’m based in Atlanta I’ve ALWAYS been LICENSED! I have never done nails without being licensed and I don’t support unlicensed individuals doing nails. I will always tell you to go to school and get licensed .
I charge my prices because it took me over a decade to be able to perform a service ad quickly as I can at the quality that I do. You’re paying me for my knowledge, my expertise and my time (ALL the time I’ve put into this (20 YEARS!))
