Worked on all three today.Deadlifts for a top set of 585 for 2x2,then ss box squat with 375 for 10x2(finished in 9 minutes) followed it with incline bench with 275 for 5x5.

100kg x7 fail😢 wanted to try it agin this week. Ended up doing 100 for 2x6, and I didn’t see the guy coming to save me at the back I feel bad for just ignoring him😂. I’ve been through some dark times... . . . . Storing up the rage from *barely* surviving an attempted murder on September 18th, 2010 at the hands of my then spouse damn near drove me crazy.... . . . I should not be alive. . . . Read that again: I absolutely should not be alive. But by the Grace of God I survived that night. . . I was in a self destructive spiral for years but then I found powerlifting. I know so many of the friends I’ve met in this sport have similar stories. I’ll forever be in debt to @mrscoursey for suggesting I give it a shot during one of our long distance bestie convo’s in 2016. And powerlifting led me to meet my amazing husband @uspa_north_carolina at a meet. . . . October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I have always wanted to do something positive with my platform to raise money and support for those making their way out of absolute hell. ✅Shoulder Health ✅ MOBILITY & PROPRIOCEPTION: . What is the glenohumeral joint? This joint- aka the shoulder joint- is located between your scapula and your humerus. It is arguably one of the most mobile joints in the body. So how can we mobilize and enhance proprioception (the perception of movement) in this joint? Simply by MOVING it. . CARs (controlled articular rotations): @drandreospina would define it as "Active, rotational movements at the outer limits of articular motion" . 1️⃣ Develop tension from your feet to your chest. 2️⃣ Slowly raise your arm, keeping it straight, until you reach a block WITHOUT compensating. 3️⃣ Show your armpit to the wall as you keep rotating around, again WITHOUT compensation. Keep the movement specially in your glenohumeral joint. 4️⃣ Finish with your arm behind you and eventually down by your hip. Now move back around and finish the same way you started. . You can do this with the wall (which can keep you more honest) or without the wall. . The best way we can affect the joint capsule (glenohumeral joint) is through rotation. This is where enhanced proprioception comes in. You're sending info to the brain that your joint can control large ranges of motion. By sustaining mobility of the shoulder, you'll add to your current mobility of your shoulder. . Movement is medicine, and if you don't use it you can lose it. #reptheshoulders

It’s pan o’clock after making weight (no sauna or laxative this time ) Fuck antibiotics and being stressed as fuck the past 2 weeks. Don’t ever let anyone make you question your self-worth ever. Loving yourself isn’t necessarily to stop caring about what other people think. It’s about putting your own opinion first. Care about what YOU think. Listen to yourself. Get rid of toxicity. Trust yourself and be careful who you trust. Things fall apart to make way for something new to emerge. You might not understand why you’re going through what you’re going through but you will eventually. All things are aligning for the greater good. I’ll never let anyone ever steal my light ever again.

The tummy tat got in the way of belt placement so the top set of deadlifts at 420 was in the minimum rep range. I maybe could’ve squeezed a couple more reps out but my lower back was starting to feel a little twang and I didn’t want to push it.
