I’ve been wanting to make a post like this for a while. 😇
To be this blonde with a dark starting point, even virgin is a journey. This is my client Melanie, she started coming to me in July 2018, her last appointment was the end of February. The first picture on the left being her finished goal, the next slide is her before & 1st session.
I’ve started to realize, people are NOT PATIENT. Most of my full blondings are all my work, meaning I lay down the foundation & then from there I take my clients lighter. People think they will be super blonde the FIRST session & that’s just not how everyone’s hair works. I see my work getting a second session elsewhere & other people taking credit, which is fine, that’s how the industry I work in is, I’m absolutely not hating on anyones hustle or any of my clients, i simply think people don’t realize what the process consists of. Of course the next stylist got you lighter, I laid down that foundation for you, no matter where you went, your hair is already prelightened. I care about the health of my clients hair, it took Melanie a little over 6 months to achieve this look with consistent appointments. Now that she has met her goal, & her hair is healthy, from here on out it’s just touch ups if she comes in within 3 months. When I say sessions I don’t mean always foiling her, I did a gradual lightening for two of those sessions (after foiling her 3 previous times) at the bowl before applying her toner to get her lighter to the last photo. ✨✨✨
